Another busy week is said and done…..
I was super busy this week…yet there’s not much to blog about. Just had a lot to do!! The kids really didn’t have anything exciting happen this week either….we all just kept busy.
Monday always seems to be a blur to me by Sunday…I can never remember what I did that day….though, it’s usually cleaning up from the weekend….
ANYWAY, Tuesday the great and amazing Jamie came over and helped me get the second coat of paint up in my kitchen. The color has finally grown on me so I’m happy to say that my kitchen is….almost….DONE!! Jamie and I were up until almost midnight….she rocks.
Wednesday meant the start of my next photography class….YEAH!! The nice thing is that this time I’m taking it with several of my friends and I’m good friends with the teacher now. Makes learning a lot easier when I’m comfortable with the people in the room and they know that I am just a LITTLE bit crazy and not simply AS crazy as I appear to be…. Here is a picture of my friend Tara….she didn’t realize I took this picture….we were supposed to be metering our cameras….
Thursday my sister came over and we all actually played OUTSIDE!! YEAH for warmer weather!! It’s so fun to see our girls play together….I luv them. She took some pictures so I’ll snag them from her blog later and post them…:)
Friday the girls and I made COOKIES!! They’re so much fun at these ages. They really want to be like mom and do everything I do….(not that I wear aprons or chef hats…) but I do lick the beaters….
Saturday was such a beautiful day that we were lazy….well, not Dade, he went to Basketball practice. He’s really enjoying being tall!!
Ella & Sylvie made this castle tower and were very proud of the fact they could climb up on it and not fall. Ella’s smile always cracks me up!
So, now it’s Sunday and I love it because everything is quiet. Church went well. Ella is really adjusting to being in the bigger kid class and walked around the church today so reverently with her arms folded so nicely. I’m so proud of her.
OH and before I forget….Sylvie decided that she wants to Potty Train FINALLY!! She’s doing a great job and is finally in pull-ups!!
We started another batch of Triop eggs today for Corben. His last remaining Triop died last night from trauma caused by the tank spilling. Corben has relocated the tank and added a special light for the new ones we expect to be seeing in the next few days. He’s really excited. It was hard losing the last batch.
Dade has worked very hard and has his Rubik’s Cube solving time down to under a minute and a half!! He’s amazing. I was still faster than him as of last week but that’s long since past. Corben is starting to learn and I think they all have a dream of us standing up as a family at some talent night and solving Rubik's cubes together….I think that would be fun!
Um, OH YEAH! Okay, some of you may or may not have known about my picky eating issues but have probably figured it out with all my talk of it lately. There was actually a show on Picky Eating Adults on the Food Network last year and I found the episode on YouTube. The people on the show are people that I am now friends with….it’s so nice to know others who have experienced life like I have. Now, I’m not as picky as some of them but I do know that regardless of the level of pickiness that effects someone, the social issues tend to be about the same. If you’ve got 30 minutes or so to spare and want proof that I’m not the only picky eater out there then check out the following 3 videos (1 episode divided into 3 parts)!!

Thanks for posting those! I really enjoyed watching!
That was thoroughly enlightening, Christy! I knew it could be a huge problem, but I never realized all the possible causes--and definitely not the far-reaching effects. I loved all the other stuff in your post, too! :)
