Once again…blogging 5 months after the fact! (someday I’ll have coherent, meaningful posts again…for not it’s catch-up!!) – If you wonder how I can blog 5 months later it’s because I keep a journal, go back through FB posts, and date my photos!
Monday the 11th - Ryan finished “the Pit” /the Patio stonework! Yay!
Monday started with our 100th Day and we made headbands with 100 things to celebrate. During writing wrote what we think we'll be like when we are 100 years old. They were so funny, but you'll have to wait to see them because we hung them in the hall. – Ms. C’s Blog

Meanwhile, at home, I got a paper cut and Sylvie got me a band-aid. She colored it red with a pen…it looks scary! lol

Tues – I was sick today so got to lay around and finish my book (Son by Lois Lowery). It was fantastic! Got to pick up Dade, too! Yay!
My "baby" is coming home for a week! Yippee!! In celebration here's a video of him 16 and a half years ago...(8.5 months old). Luv you, Dade! — with Xander.
Ella’s art at School

Wed -

So...Collin let go and tried to take a step... He's only 7 1/2 months old...
Thurs = Valentine’s Day!! I got Chocolate & Roses! (oh, and I went shoe shopping) I made Ryan salmon for supper & it was actually good! lol (I’ll take his word for it.) I also found Collin climbing the stairs today!

Ella’s class blog: Today went better than expected and even though my little firsties were excited, they did a great job swimming. We passed out Valentines in the morning, wrote about what our favorite part of Valentine's Day, enjoyed yummy snacks, read our cards, and some received flowers. They were so thankful when opening their cards and that made me so proud because we've been talking a lot about manners, showing respect, and having Unity in our Community. – Ms. C’s Blog
Ella got some beautiful flowers, lots of candy and a green tongue! :)

Friday = My Birthday!! – Tammy on FB –early release corben
Ella’s class blog: Friday I caught them early in Music playing the sticks and we also had a compliment circle to help build our unity in our classroom community. – Ms. C’s blog

My day started out fun thanks to my Amazing Sister who had me laughing all day with these FB posts –> click here
Then…My Conversation with Sylvie:
S: Who are you going to invite to your party?
Me – I’m not having a party.
S – Why not?
Me – When you get older you don’t always have parties. Fama is coming to take me out tonight.
S – She’s taking you to dinner.
Me – Probably shopping so I can get some new clothes. Isn’t that nice?
S – We’re going to surprise you.
Me – Well don’t tell me.
S- Who’s going to watch us so we can get ready?
Me – Dade is going to watch you tonight.
S – No, it’s Cassie.
Me – Sylvie, you need to stop talking, you’re telling me all of the surprise.
S – But Corben said it was Cassie.
Me – Sylvie, if there’s a surprise I’d like to not know about it.
S – I didn’t tell you.
The middle of the day went like this…
Collin growing too fast & Sylvie playing in the snow.

So, as the evening went on I tried to NOT look for signs of a surprise party but then there weren’t any to find. Mom did take me out for my birthday and said she wanted to pick up some cupcakes and ice cream while we were out. Jason & Cassie showed up at the house and mom invited them along. At this point I figured maybe I was wrong… Then we got home and what a surprise!! (seriously I was surprised)
Corben planned and pulled off a surprise party for me!! He's been planning it for weeks and even sneaked out and got some shopping done. He and Sylvie went in on a gift and they all decorated and made me cupcakes. My kids are amazing and I feel so loved! Thanks to Mom, Jason & Cassie for keeping me occupied this evening while the kids did their thing. I love you all!
Corben said he couldn’t remember a single time they’d done anything for my birthday and he felt horrible about it. My mom told Corben that doing something this nice for me was like he had done this for her and he said, “Great! Because I’m not sure I can pull this off for you in May.” (too funny)

Dade spent the evening making a gift for his girlfriend…the finished product had a lid, little people inside, and chocolate!

Saturday was SNOW! – Kids had fun outside. We got about an inch of snow. Dade worked at my mom’s and babysat (lots of people have missed him, not only us).

Corben spent much of the day working on a canoe…

Dade & his favorite family to babysit!

Sunday they cancelled church but not in our Sister’s ward so we were off to celebrate our new nephew’s baby blessing. It was one of those days…Dade had dirty clothes, my mom had my phone (on accident), the girls were in the dirties dresses I’ve ever seen and no one fed Collin his cereal. Ryan was in a bad mood but we made it to church on time. Collin was out of sorts all day but he made it through the blessing and it was amazing. I just love seeing all the family in the circle together. After a beautiful day and a wonderful family get together we had to say bye to Dade as he headed back to school! :( (There must be pictures from this day….somewhere….)
Monday was a rough homework day for Corben…he had HOURS of work despite not having school…Here’s the awesome Telegraph he made and the commercial to go with it!
Tues – Collin just crawled past me to get to Ryan. He did stop and think about it for a minute and even turned towards me but then stopped and continued on. It was so sweet.
Note from Ms. Crampton:
Ella is a fabulous first grader and I love having her in my class. She is a great leader who swims that I barely have to give any reminders to. I love that Ella is so sweet and full of energy, but she uses that energy at appropriate times. I will miss her next year, so maybe she needs to repeat 1st Grade ;)
Thanks for raising a great kid (or five)!

Wed – Sylvie came down screaming about 10pm saying her ear hurt. She then informed me she’d stuck a piece of glow in the dark silly band in it and she was in horrible pain. It took me about an hour, but with prayers and Sylvie being super brave I was able to irrigate her ear enough to have the band move into view and then get long tweezers around it and pull it out. I was shocked when I saw how long it was. No wonder it hurt. It was over a half inch and was so far in her canal I couldn’t see it at first. So glad I had the tools I needed. I can’t imagine another trip to the emergency room. That girl has to quit sticking things where they don’t belong! Ugh.
So...anyone know how to get a piece of silly band out of the inside of a child's ear??
The over half inch piece of glow in the dark band just removed from a certain little girl ear. It was so far in i couldn't see it.
Here’s that crazy silly band (and a cute pic of my mom) :D

Fri – There was a 3 hr delay for school…I love it!! Corben also had his first Scout campout…hope he’s having fun in the freezing cold rain!

Saturday we headed out to get….Dade’s Car!! My dad met us with Dade’s new wheels. Dade is so excited. :D (he should be). Corben headed out to hang with my mom. (We also found a special treat…)
My girls just made the coolest fort...out of sheets...from the laundry...from when Collin wet all over my bed...they are very sad...and grossed out... (next time maybe they'll just take them to the washer like I asked - lol)
Sunday = Family party @ Erin’s! (Again…no pics…what is up…)
Monday we had the Sister missionaries over for supper! The link below is well worth your time…I promise (gather your kids to watch too). :D
What if wild animals ate fast food
Collin is SUPER cute. The way he’s always smiling and just has the most handsome face that kills me every time he grins. He’s LOVING bath time. He’s a little frog in the tub (that’s how he sits). He’s not afraid of the water and even likes it deep. So cool. Now if I could just get him to sleep somewhere other than in my arms!
I was talking with Ella today and really enjoying her sense of humor. She’s growing up, I can see and hear it. She’s turning into a young lady and she seems so bright and funny and perfect. She’s such a beauty and I love her smile and the way it not only reaches from one side of her fact to the other but from one side of a room to the other. She is a light and a joy where ever she goes!
Took Collin to the dr. and he has mild bronchitis coming on. He got a breathing treatment and sent home with an inhaler. I tried to tell them I think his ears are bothering him since he hasn't slept, used a paci, or taken a bottle since his ear infection in Dec. The Dr said in theory it could be possible. she said he has fluid on his ears and could qualify for tubes.
Tuesday Feb 26th = MOUSE!! (but not for long)
Wed - I was supposed to leave for the beach this morning but with a sick baby rides had to be rearranged so we wouldn’t be riding with a newborn. Luckily it looks as if it will work out.
Thurs – Left today for the beach and got there late. But not before helping Ella with a fun science experiment!

Friday Ella had early release, Corben headed out for a weekend with Fama (or his dad…I can’t remember), and Dade was having fun at school.

Collin and I started our Sister’s weekend just relaxing. It was beautiful out. We had so much fun laughing at supper and I found a friend in my roll. Too bad I had to eat him…

Saturday was so much fun. I really love these sisters of mine!

Sunday was our last day at the beach. Collin decided he doesn’t really like the sand. :)

Just back from an AMAZING weekend with my Schnegel Sista's (we missed you Rachel!). It was a much needed break.
Collin stood today with no one holding on to him...
Best weekend EVER!! What a great relaxing weekend. We ate out, watched TV, read books ,did brain puzzles, did makeovers, pedicures, played games, snacked, walked the beach and just had a fantastic time together. Collin was such an angel. He stood unaided today!
