Monday morning Corben had a dr. appt so Ryan stayed home with Sylvie and played on the motorcycle…
(disclaimer: this bike is stationary…Ryan’s just blowing her hair with the leaf blower lol)
We hung out in the evening as a family and Ryan made pizza.
Don’t watch THESE two FFM. There’s a bathroom word or two…(but the first one I find very funny…)
This one is safe…
Tuesday was Ryan and my 8th Anniversary! We spent the morning trying to find me the right pair of glasses. Sigh. (last year I got a smart phone…lol) Sylvie took a couple of pictures of our morning.
Here’s Ella at school…
Dade came home from school for the week so he babysat while Ryan and I went out to dinner. We had a great evening!
Wednesday Corben joined Dade on vacation…
I was taking care of the baby on the couch and looking over things on my phone when I happened to accidentally click the camera and found that it was facing me…and this was the face I was making!! Apparently this is my I’m concentrating face.
I’d prefer it to look more like THIS
And since I was stuck on the couch for a bit, why not take silly pictures of myself that no one will ever see…oh wait…
Meanwhile, oblivious to the madness going on inside, Ryan was outside doing magic to the pit!!
Then he made a gymnastics bar for the girls!
I hung inside to work on an experiment. I’ve been making pumpkin bread from the jack-o-lanterns we got for Halloween but I keep reading online that that’s not the right kind of pumpkin so I decided to buy the right kind of pumpkin (a sugar pumpkin from the farmers market) and see what was so different about them. So I cooked them the exact same way… (jol pumpkin on left, sugar pumpkin on right)
Well, guess what…it’s unanimous!! The Jack-o-lantern pumpkin bread is MUCH better. Now the sugar pumpkin bread is fantastic but when compared, it just isn’t as good. Weird, I thought the internet was always right! lol
Thursday was Thanksgiving (or black Thursday as us picky eaters call it). Ryan had to work so the kids and I headed over to Eric & Heathers for a fantastic evening! The food was fantastic (admittedly I brought Papa John’s). There were so many pies and the best company. I have sure been blessed to have married into such a wonderful family! (my phone takes horrible pics)
Friday we did not shop! We just enjoyed our time together as a family. :) Oh, and we went and got our tree!! (can you believe we fit this in the car with us and all the kids?!
Saturday we had awesome company!! My Grandma came to visit!! (She and my mom spent Thanksgiving in Colorado). We found it quite funny that Collin and mom were Twins for the day.
Sunday was the last time before Christmas that both Ryan and Dade would be home at the same time so it was obviously family picture day! (Too bad it was cold and everyone was much crankier than they appear in the pictures!
The above photo is a compilation…do not be fooled into thinking that my family could all look this amazing at once, especially with me clicking the button on the camera and jumping into the photo. Nope, this is a collection of about 5 different photos and some mostly careful photo shopping. I am very grateful for the skills I have to do this!
