Let’s see if I can finish 2012!! (Since it’s already late February 2013…) There are pics and video missing from this post but I’ll add them later…
Monday – Ella has an ear infection – I got 3 fillings (acid reflux from my pregnancies killed my teeth) – Corben had play tryouts - Chad’s birthday (happy birthday Chad!)
I was just told I was too young and vibrant to have 5 children. Lol... guess if you have 5 kids you must be an old hag.
Ella loved this picture at the doctor’s office. Ryan made fun food while I went to the dentist and went Christmas shopping by myself & I found the best stuffed toy EVER!
Then, Ryan was wonderful and picked Corben up from school for me after his play tryouts, he took the kids shopping, and then he came home and made eggnog pancakes! Yay! Then the girls did a puppet show for us. They used paper plates as backgrounds. It was awesome.
Tuesday we got to pick up Dade for Christmas break! Yay! – Check out my cutie boy. He’s always so happy in the mornings.
Wednesday things were starting to get crazy trying to get everything ready for Christmas!

Thursday
Woke up at the exact time we're usually getting in the car to get to the bus. Woke Corben, got dressed, RE woke Corben, grabbed Collin who wasn't supposed to be awake, grabbed Corben's meds and a bagel, dragged him out the door, pulled up just as the bus was pulling up with me yelling to down his meds and take his bagel and him VERY upset (not the best way to wake up)...then paused, put the car in reverse and drove us both to Waffle House for a better start to our morning. Ahhhhhh. Much better!
Sylvie had my camera for a bit today. The second picture cracks me up!
Friday Ella’s track out started. We went and got an alignment on the car to prepare for our trip to Maryland and Corben had early release. The kids were being crazy and I was already threatening to take back Christmas presents…I wrote this in my journal…
Tonight the part of the Grinch will be played by me…the mom. I even have a costume to dress Collin up as my reindeer.
Saturday we drove up to Maryland for the family Christmas party. Dade woke up feeling very ill. I felt bad because we were riding up with Jason & Cassie and I was worried they’d get sick. Collin was acting ill and for some reason (painful ears?) stopped drinking a bottle or taking a paci. Made for a long trip there!
We went to the family Christmas party and presented Gma with her book!
Here’s a few pages for your viewing pleasure! It had pictures and notes from all of her decedents! So cool. A couple of my cousins even went in and paid for the whole thing. What a blessing!
We spent the night at my aunts house and then headed over to see my granddad. (First we gave Gma another book! One of our family camp from a couple of year ago.) We surely don’t get to see him enough. It’s hard because he has little recognition for anyone other than Gma but we did get a few smiles out of him!

Monday – So…Dade has the FLU and Collin has an ear infection. Sigh.
Nothing like Christmas Eve and taking 2 kids to the doc. Already have 2 on antibiotics and as of last night I'm sick too. Good times!
Only one gift hasn't made it here and it was guaranteed delivered by tonight. They sure are cutting it close... (and maybe I should start doing my shopping in September!)
Tuesday was Christmas!!
We played it low key this year. Mom was supposed to come but was sick with the flu (wonder where she got that?? Ugh), the boys were with their dad, and Ryan had to work. Collin and I were both sick and there were still kids on antibiotics. It was almost boring in the afternoon so the girls and I stopped by Adam’s to drop off a gift (their book from family camp!).
Santa left us another note this year! This picture is hard to read and I can’t remember what he wrote but maybe you can figure it out a bit…it rhymed. :)
You can tell Collin didn’t feel good in these pics! We had a great Christmas though! I got studio equipment! Yay!
Wednesday was Grandma Great’s 80'th birthday!! Happy Birthday, Gma!! I love you!
Wednesday was also the day the girls took ALL day to put away 4 loads of laundry that were already folded. They didn’t get to play with their presents and they were pretty grumpy.
Thursday was my nephew Dylan’s birthday! AND I had a photo-shoot! It was super cold out but my wonderful neighbor came alone and played with the girls. They sure love her! (I love her too especially when she takes pictures!)
After I was done I got to play some too!
Friday was busy getting ready for 2 family get togethers this weekend!
Saturday we went to visit my dad! It was great seeing the family. My sisters are growing so fast! Dade & Corben had a great time trying out my dad’s guns and Corben got to use his new bow and got some new accessories! (pics thanks to Linda!)
Dade’s favorite part of the trip?? His NEW CAR!! (Newish car...)
We had a great visit but had to head home. I had a TON of gifts to finish making. This month was just overwhelming for me and I will be SO glad when it’s over and I can finally clean my house! (It was one of those nights working on gifts. The sewing machine hated me and I burned myself on the iron at about 2 am!! Ugh.)
Sunday was the family party!! I don’t have too many pictures. My phone is horrible. Here’s some of the drive there!

The party was great! We got amazing gifts. My BIL actually MADE me mozzarella cheese and pepperoni! Here’s Dade with his box full of Dating ideas. Corben got these great hats! (pics courtesy of Heather!)
So there you have it. Probably the most stressful month of my life (okay not really but it sure felt like it) and I’m so glad it’s a day away from over! Come on 2013, you know I love a new year!
