{CYCOTP 2014}– 4-6-2014 Week in Review…

Tues the 1st – April Fool’s Day!

I completely fooled myself and spent most of yesterday thinking it was the 1st only to realize March was NOT over. I REALLY have been looking forward to April. It signifies so much. Time outside, beautiful weather, SPRING!, cleaning out the house and getting motivated. This has been a LONG winter for sure.

We started sorting clothes for the seasons today (the kids HATE this but did great). I TRIED to fool the kids with a grilled cheese lunch (toasted pound cake & colored icing) and Kool-aid (jello with a straw) but Ryan made the jello for supper last night and cut up the cake for dessert. Luckily I caught him before it was gone and had enough to trick the kids with. Ella’s reaction was the best! Her only concerns were that she’d wanted bacon on hers and that she hadn’t had this kind of bread before. I just love her and her innocence. She took one bit and assured me she liked the new bread. :D

I’ve also decided to TRY to participate in the #1800MinuteChallenge this month. I’m recovering from being super sick this last weekend so maybe I’ll really start next week…

Wednesday was the Great Outdoor Toy Wash! Collin found his safe  place on the picnic table and we pulled out all the NASTY toys from under the deck. They were not only muddy and gross but they’d been under there when Ryan stained the deck last so they are covered in brown streaks. Awesome. Regardless, it was hot out and the kids loved getting their swimsuits on and playing and working together. Collin even found his was down eventually. He was VERY happy today to be wearing his “new” Blue’s Clues shirt. So thankful for cousins’ hand-me-downs. – I’m borrowing a camera this week as mine hates me and the settings are off so the kids thought these looked better with some fun effects to them. Hopefully I’ll have time to sit down and get everything straight soon. :) So thankful to be able to take pictures!

To make the day even better, Dade came over to stay with us for a bit. :D

Ryan stopped by the house again! We’re really seeing some changes.

Thursday started our #100HappyDays! We’ll be doing it on Instagram with our tag #100HappySchnegs. Feel free to follow along! – I found this first one on my desk this morning – Frum Sylvie. :D She makes my heart happy!

Found out why the camera was off…SUPER VIVID mode. Ugh. I figured it out AFTER these as you can see. – Our yard was full of the neighbors Chickens this morning. The kids LOVE it when they visit. I took pictures for a few minutes while everyone just had a nice time outside. I LOVE this weather…

My Gramma’s maple tree (grown from a seed from her tree the year she died) is sprouting fresh beautiful red leaves. It brings me so much joy. I hope we can find a way to bring it with us to the new house. I can’t imagine leaving it behind.

Camera settings fixed!! Woohoo! Collin went down for his nap and the big kids spent hours together on the trampoline! My children are my greatest joy. I love it when they are all together. With Dade’s graduation coming so close and his future as a grown up looming I count each one of these days together as precious. I know they’re not over but they will change. Sometimes change is good. I look forward to the new but love the now. :D

Stealing Dade’s hat…

Sibling Stack!! They seemed to lack in my vision…lol!

A fun game of POPCORN! First, the microwave counts down and then suddenly the Popping Begins!!

Sadly (for me) the boys headed over to my mom’s for the weekend.  I miss them already.

They’ve poured the garage floor at the house. :)

Friday I was under the weather. Maybe it’s allergies, maybe it’s me still recovering from a rough sick weekend. Maybe I just need to get back into my exercise routing…who knows. Regardless I’ve been a bit run down so decided to let the girls take their own pictures today! (This is me being real. I LOATHE these pictures but I did say I wasn’t feeling well. It shows in my face…ugh.) It’s more about memories together, though, and not what I look like to me. Someday I’ll be glad I’m in some pictures, right? :D

All of the following pictures are by the girls. I have left out the majority of the 200 pictures taken as they are mostly of household items and blurry pictures of flowers. I love them but we need to talk to have some photo classes. :)

Saturday started General Conference weekend! Yippee! – If you’ve never watched before I HIGHLY recommend it. (More than highly…go do it…right now. I don’t care of you leave my blog.) To some it’s very different from anything they’ve watched but I’ve heard it compared to the TED talks everyone loves to view online. These, however, are Spiritually based talks from Spiritual leaders in our church. We believe there is a Prophet on the earth today who brings to us the words of God. We also believe there are 12 apostles. These men, as well as other men and women leaders, speak twice a year to a worldwide audience of over 15,000,000 church members and to the world. I promise that their words will bring you joy, hope, and understanding. My love and gratefulness for my Savior grows and grows each time I am able to participate in listening and viewing these messages. I feel so blessed to know of the truthfulness of these things!

Between sessions the girls went out to cover the rock in chalk…and apparently themselves! I didn’t catch a picture but they actually painted themselves completely blue and then put on blue shirts and white shorts and played as Smurfs for a couple of hours! It was awesome.

Dade spent the day on his first EVER grownup-less trip! He has been an famous member of Roblox since he was 12 years old. He actually became Worldwide Famous. No kidding. There are old YouTube videos of kids stalking him online… He’s famous for Wordfall and Havemeat’s Minigames and so much more. At some point he took a bit of a break and let someone else keep up his name. In the mean time his fame only grew and now the new Team Havemeat is together and causing a stir. This weekend Dade and his great friend Gregory headed up to Maryland for a Makers Fair and helped at the Roblox booth.

The rest of us were enjoying a quiet Saturday listening to Conference and hanging outside!

Sunday was Conference!! & Ryan home. Between sessions they went outside and cleared out the flower beds a bit. There was pollen. I went back inside…

This is my Mindbloom  Lifegame Tree. It makes me happy. That right there is a sign that I’ve kept up with over 90% of my goals for over a month! (I’m on level 32…the highest I’ve seen is 35. Maybe that’s the end and I’ll get to start over with new goals! We’ll see…) :D

Speaking of goals: Now I can check off blogging for the week! Yippee!
