I was SUPER busy making THIS! A book all about 2008! Yes, that means I have a few more to go but at least this one is done! (You can tell I got tired near the end and actually ended up publishing only 6 minutes before my points expired….go me….now to bed.
We started our week off spending Family Home Evening with 2 wonderful families! The missionaries joined us and some wonderful moments incurred!
The boys headed out the next day to spend the week with their dad. YEAH! It’s so nice that he’s so close and they can see him so much more often!
The next day we had friends over to swim in the our pool on the deck. It’s been about 104 all week and the pool has been FANTASTIC!
We headed out early Thursday to go check out the camp we’ll be staying at in a couple of weeks with some of our family! Since a few of them aren’t campers we took pictures to let them see how awesome it’s going to be! This will be camping in style!
Saturday I started feeling pretty crummy. I’m still dealing with this Fifth Disease mess and my arms have been bothering me the last few days. We headed out early to a Scout fundraiser where Dade was serving Pancakes and Bacon at a local diner. We went straight from there to clean the church and that’s when I started feeling really terrible. I traded some kids out with another family that we love so the afternoon was pretty low key while their kids kept mine busy and my kids kept theirs busy. By the afternoon, though, I was done and was in bed hurting all over! Every joint in my body hurts from my fingers to my toes. My arms and hands are the worst though…I’m so tired of this…
Sunday I had every intention of calling in sick to church when I got up feeling just as badly as the night before. However, I soon realized that it was my Sunday to run all of the show for Primary and there would be no way someone would want to wing 2 hours of music with no notice. So, Ryan, helped me out in the morning as my hands weren’t working so well. He was SUPER sweet and helpful. He took the kids to church while I straggled behind taking the extra time I needed to get everything together. I got to church just as a torrential downpour with lightning right overhead started. Karma… That’s what I get for being an extra 15 minutes late because I actually styled my hair. After running through the rain (despite having a towel over my head) it looked just like it did when I got out of the shower…lol. Oh well.
The kids in primary were great and everyone was very kind helping me put stuff up for music time. The kids even lead all the songs for me and all turned out fine.
I’m now doing the duel duty of working on this blog and finishing up several Heritage Makers projects that have to be done by midnight tonight! UGH. My pour fingers! Here’s one canvas…
Below is the canvases I just finished. The center is a 20x20 and has The Proclamation on the Family on it. It will be surrounded by smaller canvases with family pictures on them..when I’m done. The left side has the original version. The right side has our names inserted where ever it says parents, husbands, wives, children, etc. I like making things more personal, it seems to hit home so much better! I can’t wait to have this on my wall! (as you can see the left side is missing…but I’m too tired to finish the other side. I’ll get to it in a week or two and then show you the finished product!)
I’m so excited!! Heritage Makers made my new canvas an actual template for the world to use!! YEAH!! It’s kinda cool to have someone like my work that much! To see it in the gallery go to:
http://www.heritagemakers.com/templategallery.cfm
and in the “SHOW” drop down menu pick 20x20 Canvas Print and then scroll down until you find Happiness at Home which is MINE!! It’s even already high up on the popular list….:)
Okay, so I’m taking a moment to show you may latest Heritage Makers project because I’m so excited!! I put this together today in just over an hour (I completely designed it myself)….it was so much fun!! It’s a 20x20 gallery wrapped canvas and it was under $100!! I can’t wait to hang this in our dining room.
If you like it, I’ll forward you the template for FREE!!
I’ve found the coolest thing and may have a craft party in the next couple of weeks if any of you wants to make some with me! For years I’ve stared at blank walls because I’m very particular about what goes on them….oh yeah, and I’m broke. Well, I’ve finally found the solution!! I discovered that if I made things with the 12x12 scrapbooking pages (made on really thick paper like cardstock) from Heritage Makers that I could use them to decorate my home! Bonus? They’re only a few dollars each! That’s cheaper than getting ANY photo blown up that big and I can add anything I like! So, now I can MAKE things that are just right for me! Things that are personal with pictures, scriptures and quotes that I didn’t find on a store shelf, I made on my own. So, here’s my first home decor project! It’s a 12x12 and I happened to find a black 12x12 frame clearanced….who knows where….and they’re a perfect match!
Next I’m having some of these (designed by fellow HM consultant, Michelle Bell @ http://templatesbymichelle.com/homedecor.html) printed off and modge podging them to tiles to put on stands or hang on my walls with Ribbon!! I’ve already got a few done and I’m so excited to design my own!!
6 inch or 4 inch tiles:
4 inch tile sets you hang with ribbon:
2 inch magnet sets – the 6 B’s, Family, and Mom’s To Do, Etc!!
I may even make a Custom Clock and Magnetic FHE chart!
THEN…there’s these really cool blocks I can make!
I’ve already ordered the ones for the girl’s names. So easy and I could have changed the paper & lettering to match the girl’s room! (It already did, so lucky me!)
I’ll Post some as I make them!! (You can check out some of my latest HM projects at yourheritagebound.blogspot.com)
I became a consultant for Heritage Makers not because I needed a business but because I absolutely LOVE what they are all about and wanted to make these kinds of lasting memories for MY family. Let me know if you’d like helping make some for YOURS!
