So now we’re at the point where I’m must trying to catch up…
Monday – My SIL Cassie’s b-day!! We love you Cassie!!
Corben started tutoring today AND our Ella got Student of the Week!! She got this cool sand art kit as a reward and a new pencil. She was SO proud, as she should be.
Wednesday was a GREAT day. First of all, it’s my MIL, Renee’s birthday. I sure do love her so much! I also felt the baby move from the OUTSIDE for the first time today and to add to all the wonderfulness I spent the day in the Temple with an awesome friend. Ahhhhh…..
Friday must have been a loud kid day because I posted on FB “And the house is finally quiet...” (Oh, now I remember…it was more than a loud kid day, it was a full on crazy kid day.)
Saturday was super busy and I was wiped out before it began. Ryan headed over early to help his sister move while I dropped Dade off at a meeting, dropped Corben at my mom’s, took Ella for a haircut, and had every intention of driving over to help my SIL move but was falling asleep at the wheel so drove straight home.
Sunday was full on panic day. In our church we don’t have clergy that speak to us in our main meeting, it’s the members who are asked to speak on a given topic. I was asked 2 weeks ago to talk on Pride and though I studied the topic over the last 2 weeks I couldn’t wrap my head around what angle I was going to take. This is usual for me but by late Sunday morning I was FREAKING OUT. My husband was SO wonderful. He was calm and loving. He hugged me and reassured me. He was perfect. I was a mess. However, he gave me a blessing and I was instantly calm and made it to church. And, as is par for the course, I came up with my talk just minutes before it was time for me to speak and then spoke way longer than I should have but whatever. I was shocked that a great deal of my family (mom, brother, SIL) all showed up to hear me speak. It, of course, added to the pressure and I was sure I blabbed too much and got way into the TMI but I was assured over and over by many wonderful people that I said some things that really struck people and made them think. Yeah! Now I can breathe for a bit. The boys left straight from Sacrament meeting to go meet their Dad. He leaves soon for Afghanistan and is trying to see them as much as possible before he goes.
