This week I was outside playing with Sylvie and asked her if she wanted to go check on the Fairy Tree. She said: It’s not a fairy tree, it’s a slug tree! Sure enough, we went to go look and there was a HUGE slug hanging out at the pond. lol
Also this week: Sylvie kept putting her hand on my tummy to feel the baby but he’d refuse to kick.
Me: I guess he’s being a lazy bum Sylvie: You mean a lazy belly!!
Monday the kids were THRILLED to wake up to SNOW!…kinda. Everyone was out of school but Ella. She managed to have some fun outside anyway!
FUNNY STORY: Everyone is at home today but Ella so I was a bit nervous when the phone caller ID said the school was calling me. I answer and I’m told it’s the Vice Principal at the Elementary School and she has Ella in the office with her. She then proceeds to tell me that Ella has been caught by her teacher doing some things…and then she pauses! I’m FREAKING OUT inside but just as quickly she picks back up where she got distracted and says, Ella has been caught by her teacher doing some WONDERFUL things! I suddenly yell, YOU SCARED ME TO DEATH! At which point she pauses, laughs, and then apologizes for her ill timed pause. You see, at Ella’s school they don’t believe in punishing children, they work on a 100% award system and so when you’re super good you get an office referral to go see the Principal and have them call home! LOL She then filled me in on how wonderful Ella is in school and how kind she is to her classmates. She’s a wonderful example in so many ways and is always doing her best. I then got to talk to Ella on the phone and congratulate her. She was sent home with an Office Referral award that the Vice Principal insisted we put on the fridge. I’m sure proud of my Ella!
Sylvie has been begging for weeks to go swimming so on a whim I decided we’d go swimming! (Despite the fact that Ryan had to work again.) We went to the local pool which is covered during the winter and had a blast!!

Ryan FINALLY felt the baby kick last night for the first time. Funny part (to me) was that is was while we were watching Breaking Dawn LOL.
Wednesday I had another great day at the Temple!! Sylvie stayed at a friend’s house and her mom took this funny pictures of the girls.
I posted a note yesterday on FB asking friends their family rules on dating. It’s come up with Dade recently and there were some things I hadn’t put detailed thought into and wanted to make sure I had all the ideas I could before going to the Lord with my plan to pray about. After getting everyone’s thoughts I posted this on Wednesday: “Thanks everyone for your thoughts on dating. After reading over everyone's ideas I had a couple of things to add to my ponderings but mostly just felt reassurance in the plan Dade and I had already discussed. It's stricter by the world's standards but something he and I both feel comfortable with by God's standards. Besides, God's way isn't usually the easy way but I'm okay with that because Dade and I both know He's got our back and His rewards are far greater than anything the world can dish out. I'm such a blessed mom to have such an amazing young man. (And such awesome friends and family who care about him!) Thanks!”
Thursday was GORGEOUS out and I asked Sylvie if she’d let me go take some pictures of her outside. I should of known she’d be more than willing! She’s very into striking a pose right now. I hate how grown up it makes her seem. I wish she could be 4 forever…kinda. :)
I tried to get the boys outside but only Ella agreed when she got home from school. She’s so fun to me.
I got NO sleep last night. LITERALLY. The baby was up all night dancing his heart out and I was feeling sick. What a long night…
Friday = Today was my SIL Heather’s birthday! I love you Heather! (I hated missing her get together but I was exhausted and there was no way.
Saturday was busy busy. Dade started feeling sick yesterday and missed out on a campout last night. The girls and I headed out to 2 different birthday parties. Corben spent last night at my mom’s. Here’s Sylvie at the first party of the day.
We went straight from there to my niece, Makenzie’s 4th birthday party! So fun. Here’s some cute pics of my sister, Lianna, in her coat that used to be my dads then my sisters and now hers.
My kids were WORN OUT by the evening and they made for a hard evening. I posted on FB later that evening and my dear friend, Shannon, went back to the oldschool to cheer me up.

Sunday was a busy busy day. We were supposed to be attending a friend’s engagement/birthday party and feeding the missionaries but at the last minute were offered some very nice bedroom furniture for the girls and a chance to go visit my aunt and cousin who we rarely see. As a bonus it was my cousin’s birthday so we borrowed a trailer, picked up my mom and headed out of town for the day. It was a short but wonderful visit. The kids LOVED my aunt’s back yard and insisted I take a million pictures.
Thanks, Aunt D, for a wonderful evening and for sharing Tiff’s furniture with the girls. They are SO in love with it and it was a great blessing to us! We love you!
