Monday = Corben to tutoring (Thank you, thank you, thank you to the amazing T)
Today is also Linda’s birthday! (I get to call her Old Lady for a whole 2 days! lol) Happy Birthday, Linda!
Ella and I spent the evening working on her cool valentines for her class. She took glowsticks and put a heart on each that said, “You make my heart glow!” She wrote each classmates name very carefully and wrote FROM Ella since there was one boy she wanted to make sure didn’t want to think she LOVED him. lol
Tuesday was Valentine’s Day and our 2nd level 2 Ultrasound to try to see everything this little guy wouldn’t show us the first time. To make it extra fun both Sylvie and my mom were able to come in with us! I am seriously SO IN LOVE with this little face and can’t wait to hold this little guy.
The kids all woke up to yummy Valentine treats and Ella had THE BEST DAY EVER at school getting tons and tons and tons of candy. She was a bit crazy the rest of the day. Ryan got home late from work but gave me flowers and a card. We also had a nice steak dinner together.
Wednesday was my birthday. I was kind of emotional for parts of the day but my mom worked hard to make sure I felt loved. She came over early and watched Sylvie while I went to a Parent-teacher conference. She then made supper for my family and took Sylvie birthday shopping for me. My brother and his wife came over and gave me the best card EVER.

The inside had an awesome poem:
Sister Sister,
Your kid is a mister,
When we were younger,
You were such a blister.
But now that we’re older,
We are wiser and slower
but whenever you need me
I'm here with a shoulder
but don’t lean to hard
cause I’m older too
The oldest and youngest,
Mom’s Favorite Two.

My brother is so funny!
A wonderful surprise was my FIL showing up. The kids were delighted.
- Christy - lol that's the biggest candle EVER
- Mom - Mothers of "advanced maternal age" are super stars...so you got a super duper candle! That was a great day for me __ years ago!
Thursday was a fun rainy day and Corben and Sylvie rushed to get outside and play together. I then attempted to get a picture of them looking joyous together. Corben loves to make that hard! lol
Friday the kids had early release. YEAH!
Saturday my mom came and watched the kids since Ryan had off work for ONCE. (Since he worked Monday.) He and I went out to spend the day together. We’re on a budget so we mostly just drove around and looked at houses we can’t buy yet, but it was fun. In the mean time Mom took all my kids over to my brother’s house to do yard work and watch movies on his big movie screen. They had a great time!
Ryan and I stopped for lunch at a little pizza place in town and that’s when the weirdness started… (Here’s my FB account)
SOooooo, I had a guy see me through a restaurant window, come in to find me (Ryan saw him looking for me while I was in the restroom), wait for me, hold the door for me as I was leaving (with Ryan and I started getting really wigged out because he kept looking at my stomach and then smiling at me), then he followed us on the way to the car asking me questions about my pregnancy and then asked if he could touch my stomach!! I quickly informed him that I was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THAT and he left. Can you scream CREEPY??!! (Ryan thinks he may have been a little mentally challenged. He was smiling at me from a big white van when I saw him through the window at first.)
The whole experience really unnerved me. I’m so thankful I was with Ryan.
That night Dade went to his first school dance. I may never let it happen again, though. When I drove up to pick him up I couldn’t believe my eyes!! I THOUGHT the school dress code applied to dances but NOPE! I have never in my life seen so many children walking around almost naked. I was so rattled by the whole thing that it was all I could do not to roll down my window and start telling these girls to get some clothes on! I can’t believe their mothers actually bought them these super skimpy dresses! I wish I could just pull my kids out of the world sometimes.
Sunday it rained and then all of a sudden, IT SNOWED! It was such a quick light snow that I was afraid the kids would see none of it in the morning so Ryan suggested we go out and collect snow balls for them. We even gathered some clean snow for snow cones tomorrow!
