Monday! Yeah! (actually, it really was a nice day – mostly). I started it off with lunch with a good friend and then was productive the rest of the day while Ryan worked and worked and worked outside in the yard. He’s building a barrier wall and patio. See that pile of rocks? He’s actually carving most of those and hand building the wall!
The day was so beautiful, Sylvie asked to do her workbook outside.
Tuesday I got my new phone! (My old one had a terrible camera…not that this one is much better but it’s a marked improvement… (Here’s the view I have of Dade most days.)
Ella called me on her way to school to tell me about the rainbow so Sylvie and I ran outside!
Wednesday = Pi Day! (and Mark’s b-day) We love to celebrate Pi Day at our house. Dade is always very popular at school that day. This year he took 3 pies and Corben got one.
I usually make all pies from scratch but this year I was too tired to make more than one. You can kind of see the Pi symbol in middle.
I snagged this pic from my friend J.S. of the outside of Dade’s school!
Thursday Sylvie and I headed out to find four leaf clovers for Ella to take to her class tomorrow. Our yard has more clover than ever this year but FAR LESS 4-leaf ones and up until today I only had 16! (Normally I have hundreds.) I took Sylvie with me and she sat counting 1-2-3 over and over and telling me she didn’t know how to find 4 leaf ones. I told her it just took practice and patience and sure enough I suddenly heard 1-2-3-4!!!
This is Sylvie with her first 4-leaf clover EVER found all on her own. She then proceeded to find almost 15 more, beating me almost 2-1. She has the gift!
When Ella came home she designed little cards to pass out to her friends, wrote their names on the back and then we laminated the newly found clover to them and will cut them out. Normally you would dry the clover first but I didn’t have a chance so some of them ran the dye on the paper from all the moisture. Oh well, it’s still a 4-leaf clover!
We made sure that the one we made for Sylvie has her special clover she found first!
Friday I got up early to make Ryan this Kitty Litter Cake which he requested to take to work today. I know it looks gross but it’s actually one of the yummiest cakes EVER. (Those are tootsie rolls in case you’re worried.)
Friday afternoon I met a friend to go and get pedicures!!
That evening we headed to my brother’s house for a bonfire and then Corben went to spend the night with my mom. We had yummy smores with Reese’s cups and Peeps!
Saturday morning Ryan and the girls headed out to have breakfast with Ryan’s sister who’s in town to have her sweet baby blessed and Dade and I went to spend a few hours viewing the school he’s hoping to get into (that I’m hoping he’ll just take online classes from because it’s residential).
We all gathered back home (Ryan at work) and I rushed out for a quick photo shoot (where I managed to accidentally attempt to do the splits (which I can’t do) but I’m okay.)
Once home I changed (because it was so hot we were drenched) and headed out to a nice dinner put on for the Sisters in our ward by the Brethren in celebration of the Relief Society birthday!
Sunday we went to a different congregation for church so Ryan could participate in the baby blessing of our newest niece. It’s always so amazing to see him and his brothers in a priesthood circle together. After church we headed to a local park for lunch and family time.
When we got home, Corben put on a fun scavenger hunt for the girls!
Corben then divided up the money between them. What a fun family activity! I love my kids!!
