Monday we got to spend the day with my Grandma!!
We spent so much time outside I think I may have actually got some sun! (on my upper right arm…). See Pics Here. Ryan worked in the yard all day. I can’t wait for our new grass!! After my Gma left Ryan asked Dade to bbsit so he could take me out to dinner! We NEVER do that! He took me to IHOP and then we went shopping for wood for a new swing set! We brought doughnuts home for the kids. It was a nice evening.
Tuesday started scary midnight storms and all I could envision was my poor tree blowing away without it’s roots in the ground. Ryan kept assuring me all night it would be fine and sure enough this morning it was still standing. (I’m sure my constant prayers in it’s behalf helped!)
I then headed to take Dade (and the girls) to see the Pulmonologist. Tests seem to show he has Asthma and that it needs to be treated more aggressively to stay under control. They had him take chest x-rays but those all proved to be fine.
We had a nice time outside today – you can see the pic HERE!
I took the kids to Cici’s for supper and THIS time, after using my gift card, I did hand it to the person behind me. It wasn’t much left but I wasn’t going to use it.
Wednesday - Can I just say how much we’re loving our outside time!! Sadly, I didn’t get much today but you can see the kids’ HERE! I spent the day getting things done…kind of. I hit the mall w/my SIL in the morning and tried to get things done around the house all afternoon. I ended up with the worst headache EVER but had to keep going… Mom came and took the kids to scouts and so I finally got to sit and watch American Idol (I never watch TV) with my Grandma! It was a much needed break! Well I have to run, I’ve got lots to get done before our big play day tomorrow!! The girls are really excited!
Oh, I do have to tell you…I signed the papers for Dade to take Driver’s Ed…sigh. It’s a good thing, right? I know it is…I just feel like they’re all growing up around me too fast!
Thursday - Today was our BIG PLAY DAY!! 15 KIDS!…cause that’s how we roll…click HERE for the adventure! It was a LOT of fun!
Then, after everyone was home from school, Corben worked really hard on his Science Project for school. He did an experiment to see which combinations of Cricket food would sustain cricket life the best! He had several different water sources and he made 3 habitats for the crickets and gave each one a different food & water source. He counted the number of crickets each night before bed and determined that water gel works the best!
Anyway, he did the work over a month ago but it’s time to put it on a board and, of course, I had something tonight and couldn’t stay home to help him. He was doing pretty well on his own, though!
I headed out with my SIL to go to my Soon-to-be SIL’s Bridal Shower!! What a fun night (I won LOTS of candy!) :)
When I finally got home (late) Corben was still working on his project. What a trooper! We decided that it would be done by 1am…and it was almost to the second! And the BEST PART (besides the surprise kiss I got from my very thankful 10 year old)…He did it ALL himself!! (seriously, the typing, the picture taking, the gluing and cutting…everything.) This is one tired little boy! He did a great job, though!
Friday we headed out early to go meet baby, Averie!! The kids have a new little cousin that they hadn’t met yet and they wanted to hold her! I was having trouble helping to hold the baby and getting a shot so I didn’t get one of Ella and she cried about it for about 10 minutes after we left, but Heather got one so maybe I can update this later! Sylvie couldn’t get over how small everything (chin, eyelashes, nose, etc) was. She was so in love!
Then we went to play with Bean and Monkey Man! Ella found a camera and refused to use the screen on the back because she’s never seen me use one. lol She had a little photo shoot with Bean. Bean was crackin’ me up with her poses!
Then it was home for more time outside! Click HERE for the pics.
Saturday I headed out early to meet my Mom, my Brother, and my soon-to-be SIL & her family at the Temple!! It was such an amazing day spent in the Temple with them. Feeling like you’re standing in Heaven itself and looking around you and seeing people you love is the most amazing feeling. It was a wonderful day!
It was starting to get late and I realized we hadn’t gotten in our 30 minutes so we headed to the playground and then to the grocery store. It was nice to play someplace other than our yard! I got there are realized I forgot my memory card for my camera but luckily I had the Playsport!

Sunday was Beautiful! Church was great and then it was a quiet evening at home. The girls and I went for a nice walk down the street. They looked so beautiful in their Sunday dresses but so funny as they ran in Rain boots and rode on the scooter. They crack me up! Here’s Ella pretending to have crashed…
She even pretended to have amnesia when she got up. Here’s Sylvie running to save her when she first saw the “crash”…She’s yelling, “I’m Comin’ Ella!”
For the rest of the walk and some pretty pics of the girls, CLICK HERE!
Now it’s off to bed!
