Monday “the pit” started looking like something real!! Flower beds and mulch! I also volunteered at the school book fair today!
Tuesday I had a Pampered Chef party to help support my friend Tanya and her new business! I realized after getting my house clean that our kitchen chairs looked like I had children who ate off of them so we did a quick scrub and Sylvie helped by drying them quickly. lol (Folex cleaner is the bestest, btw.)
In the mean time, this is what Ryan was doing at work…obviously super busy and getting a lot done. :)
While he was having fun with his new friend, I headed over to pick Corben up from a VERY late night at the orchestra field trip. They were supposed to be in at 10pm but as you can see it was actually about 11:15 when I finally got him. His school is downtown in a very bad neighborhood and I was actually getting nervous sitting down there so late with a glowing phone drawing attention to myself.
Anyone want to come mug me? I'm parked on the side of a dark back road in down town waiting for Corben to get back from a field trip. He's an hour late! Ugh.
Wednesday was HALLOWEEN!! And Corben was out of school. Ella was not.
Here is our little geologists hard at work sorting rocks by their different properties. (pics via her awesome teacher & her cool blog!)
Once we got Ella home we all got dressed up. Collin got to wear this awesome dragon costume, isn’t he super cute?!
We first went to Ryan’s work where we got to trick or treat through the entire building. It was fun seeing Ryan show off his kids to his friends and so nice to finally meet everyone! We rushed from there to pick up Dade and get back to my mom’s for a full night of trick or treating near her house. There was a very nice HUGE neighborhood with massive houses and only about 30 other kids so we made out like bandits and had a great time!!
Wow, I sure found the neighborhood to take the kids to this year! We walked up and down 2 blocks and hit 3 cul-de-sacs along the way. All 3 kids filled their bags to the top with the best candy EVER! Ella had 5 full sized candy bars and all the kids had over 90% good chocolate (candy bars, not tootsie rolls). Sad to say there wasn't even enough scary candy to confiscate and eat later. Guess I'll have to sneak some of the good stuff. :)
Thursday was run Dade to a million dentist/doc appts since he’s finally out of school for a day!
Friday was Collin wellbaby visit (more antibiotics for that cough! & he got shots, poor kid) and taking Dade shopping for winter clothes. They had awesome music playing that kept Sylvie dancing…
Saturday was photoshoots!!
Sunday was DAYLIGHT SAVINGS! And an extra hour of sleep…and we were still late to church…
