The beginning of this week is full of stories for another day….
However, I will mention that we moved our cocooned butterflies to a newly made larger home in preparation for their wings and that Ryan and I have spent almost every night out beneath the stars finding new Globular Star Clusters, Galaxies by the hundreds, shooting stars, and our favorite Planets. He’s SUPER excited to take the telescope to the lake this weekend….I’m a little jealous…I must admit. It’s so nice, though, to spend “alone” time with him, even if it’s just out in the yard….15 feet from our neighbor’s window….he makes me laugh and life’s been pretty good lately…..
Thursday Dade actually stayed after school on purpose to get some extra study time in for the EOG’s next week. I sure love my kid!! He then headed out for an evening at the Temple with the youth. It makes a Momma Proud!! :)
Friday was actually pretty productive for me! I got pictures mostly caught up and grocery shopping. All in time to send the boys off on the Father/Son Campout and Ella off on her 1ST SLEEPOVER with Fama and Cousin Abilene!! Poor Sylvie finally fell asleep. She didn’t quite know what to do with such a quiet house. We had Mommy-Sylvie time but she was too tired to really enjoy it. Maybe some more tomorrow!!
Also today…..
I love that our yard is full of the scent of Honeysuckle….BUT, do you know what the best part about Honeysuckle is??…..
It’s finding that perfect one….
Pulling it slowly apart….
Then catching that ever so tiny bit of goodness tucked inside….
And letting it cover your tongue in honey sweetness….
SO delicious……..
.…yuuuuummmmmm…..
She could be here for hours!!
Saturday started off just right with some Princess time! I pulled out my veil and tiara for Sylvie to try on….She’s so beautiful!! I’ll have to pull these out at her real wedding….someday….FAR FAR AWAY!!!!
We then did some toe painting….and Sylvie decided she needed her nails done, too!! (Not bad and she didn’t even get it on the carpet or her dress!)
The boys had a great time at the campout and Ryan got a perfect view of the stars….
Sunday at church the men took over Primary so us women could go to Relief Society!! YEAH!!…until I sat..sat..sat..sat..sat in the back trying hard to stay focused on the lesson. I realized that I’m so used to being on my feet, jumping around, laughing, and singing that sitting and focusing with SO hard!! I bet that’s how the primary kids feel…. I’ve kind of been feeling bad lately feeling that maybe my natural silliness was taking too much of the Spirit from the room so I’ve been “trying” to taper back. But, I think that maybe, as long as I’m sharing my testimony and prayerfully doing my calling that it’s okay….I think it helps the kids stay in tune with what we’re learning and keeps their attention. Maybe teaching them gospel principals in a “different” way is okay. (Not that I think our teacher today needed to jump around and tell jokes to get her lesson across….in fact, it was about my favorite talk from conference so it kept my attention in that aspect….I just need to learn how to settle myself down to listen and feel the Spirit!!)
Oh, and it’s MOTHER’S DAY!!! So, here’s a tribute to my mom!!
She even got a picture for her fridge….(okay, that’s not really Jymn’s hand, though he did scan his hand and email me the dimensions, I didn’t get it until after presentation time….it is, at this moment, being printed, cut out, and pasted onto this pic….)…And YES, I have chubby hands but I also traced with a fat marker and didn’t cut mine out (inside the lines) like some other siblings I know and love….I’m just sayin’ :)
Happy Mother’s Day!!!!!!!

And here was my mom’s AWESOME reply!!
‘Twas the evening of Mother’s Day and all through the home
The grownups and children and puppies did roam.
With me on the porch with the chicken a-grilling
And Jason in pain with a kidney stone killing
And Ryan nearby with kids playfully brawling
My Tammy came out and said Jymn was now calling.
I turned from the grill and then there in my view
An arm with a heart and some rocks—a tattoo?!!
“Say what!” was my thought as Tam pulled up her sleeve
Then Ryan showed his and I could not believe
“You’re missing the party” she said with a grin
I turned down the grill to see what was within.
And what to my wondering eyes should appear
But my face on a forearm and smiles ear to ear.
A heart that said “Fama” and one that said Mom
I just shook my head ‘cause my kids are the “bomb!”
And Corben, near 10, with his eyes all a twinkle
Said, “It looks so real cause it shows every wrinkle!”
Then Jason, now better, joined in with the fun
With marker in hand he wrote, “I want my Mom.”
We posed for the picture then all I could think
Was how glad I was it’d come off in the sink. :-D
I love you guys!!

I used to go out and pick honeysuckles on my grandmas' farm growing up! haven't thought about that in ages...thanks for reminding me of the little things!
From Tammy's computer but from Mom:
