Monday we finally painted the potato beads…now we need to find some string!
Tuesday, butterflies started emerging from their cocoons!! SO COOL!!
I also had help from my SIL, Heather in creating some great valances for our dining room and computer room. Finally, curtains somewhere in my house!
Corben also passed off another song on his recorder at school and earned his yellow belt!
Go, Corben!!
I then spent some time taking pics of the roses around the house…..and playing around making them black and white…..
Tues night we went out to dinner as a family. This is not something we do often so it was kind of a splurge. We were almost done with our meal when Sylvie started pulling apart her bread sticks to eat….and then she started SCREAMING…….AAAHHHH!!! AN ANT!! THERE’S
AN ANT!….Sure enough, there was a dead ant INSIDE her bread stick. She’d have never seen it if she hadn’t been pulling the tops off. Needless to say, Dinner was FREE!! (And we checked out spices much more carefully for the rest of the evening….)
Wednesday, Ryan and I got a treat when my mom agreed to watch the kids while we went out to hang with some of my photography friends. It was so nice eating homemade pizza and sharing tips!
Friday was Ryan’s LAST DAY OF WORK!! We were SO EXCITED! Ryan’s worked at the same job for about 17 years!! He got a new job that will start Monday but I felt the need to celebrate right away. I threw together a VERY last minute surprise party and his family and some of mine joined us for a wonderful evening! Thanks everyone! We love you!
Saturday started with a Boy Scout fundraiser, a photo shoot, a birthday party….and me exhausted by noon….
Luckily the rest of the day was slow so we let our butterflies free….
As soon as we let the first one go….a HUGE bird swooped down and almost picked it off. Only feet away from us, too!! Luckily it got away…. I think we would have been done letting butterflies loose for the day!…or the decade….
Corben then showed off his bow he’d made….
I then chased the girls in the yard for about an hour. Sylvie indulges me….Ella, not so much….:)
In the next picture, Sylvie was in the middle of telling a story and was saying her heart was happy!
I did finally catch Ella….
The End
