Monday is the day I reserve for recovering from the weekend. Yet, off I went to the doctors with Ella who was complaining of horrendous headaches and neck pain. You can’t be too careful with that sort of pain. She’d actually been asking me to take her to the doctors. Well, when we get there (after she screamed the whole way there that she was in pain) I realize she’s excited to be there. She’s grinning and smiling at the nurses. When we get into our room she just keeps laughing and smiling and when the doctor comes in she starts doing flips for him and grinning at him like he’s her best friend or something. I know it was just the excitement of going to the doctors but watching her looking so coy as the doctor checked her ears and throat was hilarious. You should have seen the look on his face when he asked her to open her mouth wider and she did her BIG mouth (she almost looks like a Muppet with a hinge back by her ears – her mouth opens REALLY big). He actually laughed. Well, at least he could see her throat was not looking well. Anyway, he said it was a virus and sent us on our way.
This is us waiting outside the grocery store for Dade to get some things (I love having someone old enough to shop while I wait in the car!).

I realized that the Krispy Kreme coupons we’d gotten from a friend were expiring today (we’d already used a few but had 10 left) so after picking Corben up from school we headed to the local Krispy Kreme. Now, I’m not a rule breaker. Well, most of the time…. Anyway, the coupons say One Per Person Per Visit so when we entered I noticed there were already folks there using their coupons in bulk and asked if they were letting people use more than one at a time. The lady informed me that they had decided that if you wanted to use more than your one coupon then you had to use it as a buy one get one free coupon. Since I wasn’t planning on spending money, I told her we’d just be back tonight! We all sat down to eat our yummy doughnuts when suddenly the kids who came in behind us started puking at the doughnut counter… Being the Germ-a-phobe that I am….we were outta there! When Ryan got home I informed him we still had Krispy Kreme coupons so for FHE (Family Home Evening) we set out for the down town store so we could get them fresh and hot! YUM!! Sure enough, everyone and their grandpa was their with coupons. Most had at least a dozen and the store was letting them cash them in all at once. I didn’t care because, who can complain about 2 Krispy Kreme runs in one day! Anyway, it was a nice evening out with the family and the kids loved watching how the doughnuts get made.

Tuesday – I spent all day working on projects….pictures, crafts, books, picking 4 leaf clovers (you’d think I’d be a luckier person than I am)….
Wednesday I finished several projects (YEAH!). Here’s one of the tiles I did yesterday.
The girls played with playdough….here is Ella’s Pirate Snowman….and Sylvie is making a swimming pool….can’t you tell?
I also caught up on all the laundry (though once again it’s not folded). Ryan made some home made bread (YUM) and after the girls had their fill I found them both under the table licking the butter container clean….gross. But they were happy as could be.
Thursday started out with Ella upset we’d gone out in public with her in her PJ’s (see previous post). After I took her home and calmed her down I made her some breakfast. It was PB toast and unfortunately I cut it in half. She was SO upset…she wanted a big one! She begged me to fix it…..she said she needed some tape! LOL! We did finally head out to the park and met my sister, SIL, and a friend. We had a GREAT time….I even learned (much to my dismay) that Ella is a fabulous tree climber and that she can go higher than I can….needless to say I got to work on my tree climbing skills.
There are wonderful pictures of this day in the park….and in a tree….but I left Dade’s camera in my SIL’s car….oops. You’ll get to see them later…..I hope…..
Friday…well, Friday….my FAB sister sent me to the SPA!….I love sisters. Then she acted all weird like she didn’t want me around so we left (no hard feelings….actually I didn’t even catch on….I’m clueless like that.) but what I didn’t know was that it was all in preparation for the evening event……I got KIDNAPPED!! My sister, Tammy, and my SIL, Jamie showed up at my door with their hats on backwards and a cell phone held up with my brother in Utah beat boxing while they rapped a kidnapping poem….it was awesome. They then took me to dinner….
Where there were confusing signs…..(just to the right of this ENTER sign is one that says EXIT!!)
Then it was a night of Improv….for us and the people that worked there….my SIL, Rachel, joined us there! YEAH!!!
The defining moment?? When the ref asked for something that you use everyday and I accidentally yelled out ROTOROOTER!! when the rest of the room was silent…..it was pretty funny…..
At one point we decided to let the Red team know we liked them the best…..us married folk don’t get out much LOL….(ps those were not my kiss marks….I’m just sayin’…)
I’m sure we were the inspiration for their big win!!
THEN….Jamie was in the restroom (which was full of teenage girls getting all dolled up and spraying stinky perfume everywhere) when….she went to kick the flusher with her foot and….kicked the feminine product trash can instead!! They went flying EVERYWHERE and rolled all through the bathroom at which point 3 teenagers started screaming GROSS!!! and ran screaming from the bathroom while Jamie was left laughing so hard she couldn’t breath….(yes, she cleaned them all up with a paper towel).
THEN we stayed so I could be a contestant in a game show….we quickly determined that the show was a little too un-family-friendly for our liking so I quickly lost (but got a free yoga mat) and left…..
THEN the list came out….apparently we were on a photo scavenger hunt….of pictures of Christy doing weird things…not hard to do….
There were already several down so we headed onto the next…..I had to hitchhike with a sign that said Picipsy (Tammy can’t spell Pokipsie) or Bust!
THEN it was in to Krispy Kreme….hmmm…I’m starting to think I live in this place!
EEWWWWW……..
Then I noticed a random piece of dough that had come down the line all on it’s own. It got stuck and when the big doughnuts started coming down it started to cause a traffic jam. Wanting to do something nice for someone (or some dough) I requested they fetch the poor dough for me…. It was only after the wierded out employee handed me the bag and I opened it that she exclaimed…”OMGosh!! It’s a heart!!”
From there it was off to try to pay off some cops….They’d all already had their fill….
I then had to take a picture of me doing a hand stand in public and one of my feet sticking out of a bush….I decided to combine the two…..
I then had to buy 7 cents worth of gas….this was much tougher than you might think!!
Especially after I over pumped!!…Don’t worry, I paid for it.
THEN,….there it was….the van of my childhood….ah, the memories…..
http://schnegelkins.blogspot.com/2009/02/memory-lanethe-bread-mobile.html
The guy was so excited that we didn’t think his van was a piece of junk….until we asked if we could pose with it….pushing it….after all, that is how we remember it….lol.
Then….I had to feed my sister gummy worms like a momma bird….lucky for her I decided not to chew them up, swallow them, and regurgitate them….lucky for her….
Saturday was busy busy!! After a full day of getting lots done we ended it with Stake Conference and a Bonfire at my house. My brother, Jason, invited a ton of his friends over to star gaze and enjoy our awesome yard. It was good times!
Here’s some fun night photography with glow sticks. These pics are Straight out of Camera! (The first one says “Jason”)
Sunday, after talking with Ryan and contemplating some thoughts by our Stake President (local church leader) I decided to unfriend 53 people on Facebook!! 99% of the men on my friendlist are now NOT on my friendlist. Not because they aren’t my friends or because I had the hots for any of them, but because, truthfully, I really don’t need to know all the intimate details of my friend’s husband’s lives…or my ex boyfriends, or highschool classmates for that matter. It’s enough to have caught up on old times and said hello. We can still find out about each others’ lives in other ways, I just don’t need to know it all. I was sad to say goodbye to a few of them but all but one understood. He thought it was extreme but that’s okay. Sometimes, choices I make in life to keep me on track and to keep the Spirit in my life ARE extreme and I’m okay with that.
Anyway, Sunday was BEAUTIFUL so we spent a lot of time outside. Ella found all the trees she could climb and we added to the mural on the rock started last night. Don’t you love Corben’s dinosaur head?!
The End!
