Monday was our day to say good-bye to my brother and his amazing family! It has been such an wonderful week having them here and they are going to be GREATLY missed!
Check out this fun video of Fama and Sylvie. If you’re not into the drumming or if you’re just skimming through then watch the beginning then jump to 1:10.
By Wednesday I was crazy trying to get ready for Corben’s birthday. Ella and I went out for some late night shopping and happened to walk by a Papa John’s. She was starving and I caved. As soon as I started to pay she asked what I’d ordered and I told her just a pizza and she started sobbing that she’d been hoping for cheese sticks. Well, I wish I’d known but it was too late so we headed over to another store while we waited and I spent most of the time telling her we’d get cheese sticks NEXT time… We got back to the pizza place to pick up our order and laying on top of our pizza box was a huge box of cheese sticks. The manager winked at me and said, “I have 4 kids myself.” and smiled. Awesome!!
I spent the rest of the week getting gifts together, training at Ella’s school to volunteer and going to a wonderful evening at church.
Friday was our day to celebrate Corben!! He got breakfast in bed, some books he’d been hoping for, Exploderz, and a new bike!! Happy Birthday, Corben!
Saturday was Corben’s big “surprise” party!! (that he found out about…) BUT, best of all, it was also my Sister,Lianna’s birthday!! Happy birthday, Lianna, we love you! – Happy Birthday, Lianna!
Corben’s morning started out great! We headed to the local arcade for his fun party with all his friends. I, of course, forgot my camera but we’re hoping to get some pictures from his dad who surprised Corben after driving up to see him! What a great time they had.
If you compare Sylvie’s hair from the top picture and video to the picture just above, you may notice a bit of “bang”. I didn’t notice..until I went to pull her hair back today and all the hair in the front was too short! She’d cut it! Of all the things I never thought she’d do, that was the one. However, and PLEASE don’t tell her. She did a really good job and her new layered bangs are really cute and suit her so well. Again, don’t tell her I said it….ever. lol She and I headed to the store today where she put on a cute hat and asked if she could wear it in the store. She got so many compliments that I had to let her have it. She really is a beautiful girl.
There will be a picture of Sylvie in here hat placed here…when I remember… :)
Sunday was the kick-off to another year of early morning seminary for Dade. I’m so proud of my son going each morning before school to an hour of scripture study. My kid rocks.

I thought there was a law or two
That says you can't record
In secret (even if it'd rate
a 10 if it was scored).
Where was that secret camera?
--On the table, it was not.
Was someone simply standing there
And capturing that shot?
Well, this time I won't make a fuss
about this unknown shoot,
Because I think Sylvie and I
Just look so very cute! :-D
