It’s official. My summer is OVER. My morning started again at 5am. Corben to the bus at 5:54, then I drove Dade to Seminary where he was (and will always be) early but oh well. Then, I came home and went to sleep. Ryan then got up and got Ella going and took her and our sweet neighbor to school. YEAH! Hopefully this arrangement will work out for both of us getting enough sleep!
Sylvie found my crimper from my middle/high school days. She asked what it did so I HAD to show her!
We’ve been having an Ant issue lately and so Ryan mixed up a treat for our little neighbors to discourage their visiting our house. It was a HUGE hit and we haven’t heard from them since!
I’ve not been getting enough sleep this week…I’m exhausted!
Wednesday I took Dade up for a follow up on his smelling. They changed his meds and added an MRI to his order. Poor kid can’t smell hardly at all!! I laugh and just tell folks that Dade’s doctor says he Smells Really Badly. lol.
Thursday I headed to Tammy’s! I’d been waiting for this for a long time! Horse back riding!

In the mean time, I tried to catch up on some z’s…..
Tam and I had the best time on our ride. I got to ride behind her so she could hold the stick out and try to catch all the spider webs before we rode through them. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. Watching her freak out as spider webs got all over her and laughing each and every time her sun glasses fell off. Thanks, Tam, it was awesome. Besides the comedy, being with my sister is one of my most favoritest things in the whole entire world and I’m not just saying that!
As a bonus for reading my blog…here’s a cute picture of her little man wearing his doll sized cowboy hat. You may recognize this little hat from here. He’s grown SO much!!
Friday (while I was in bed thinking I’d never walk again…) Ryan was taking Ella to school. When he got home he sent Sylvie upstairs with the message that he was taking pictures of a snake. No biggie, we get a lot of those. Then I saw the snake!!!!
S = Super Scary Snake!!! It was a Copperhead! Now we get a few baby ones now and again but we’ve never seen a large one until today! Ryan was so excited that he spent a few minutes trying to catch a picture of it striking before he killed it. He got a good lecture from both me and Sylvie!
(I did use the snake as a test, though, I have to admit. I place it at the bottom of the stairs and waiting for the boys to come home to see if they’d notice. Dade, no kidding, was running BAREFOOT in a race with a neighbor and jumped right over it never seeing it. He’s have been bitten. Now, Corben had the proper response. He remained “calm”. He noticed it right away as he walked up, started looking for an exit and for anyone else outside to save him. Luckily I came out the door before he got too upset. Good eye, Corben!)
After that little scare I spent the day volunteering at Ella’s school and then we got to spend time with my sister’s kids for the evening! We love them!
Saturday was a sad and happy day. I headed out in the early afternoon to the funeral of an inspiring man. His name was Steve and he was my photography teacher. I am so thankful for my understanding of where we go after this life. It brings me so much peace in times like this.
I got home in time to take my kids out to see my SIL for some self haircut fixing and then we were on to the Schneg family party at the pool!! YEAH!
I decided to make the boys a Phineas and Ferb cake!
Corben & Sylvie were on the list for birthdays this time around! Sylvie’s LOVING the ballerina stuff.
