Monday – Headed out EARLY to drop my family in a parking lot and leave them while I took Corben to take a math placement test for next year. Luckily there was Schneg family on the way to get them and they were soon all on their way to the beach!
After the test, Corben and I were on our way as well! Here’s Corben avoiding stinky farms on the way…
Ryan’s mom (visiting from CA) rode home with us and spent the night. It’s so good to have her in town!
Tues – Cable guy came today to tell us that there’s no cables near our house and there will be digging involved to get some. After helping a friend pack for her move, I took the kiddos to the library for a break from the heat. Dade was supposed to have his first day of Driving for driver’s ed but the other kid didn’t show up!
AND….Happy Birthday, Jason!!
wed – Ryan was home sick from work today but it was a big help! I was able to run errands and go places without the kids! Dade’s first day of driver’s ed went really well!
The evening went great, as well! “Corben's on the way to scouts, Sylvie's spending the evening with my mom, Ella's in the garden with Ryan, Dade's at Driver's Ed, and I'm off to a photoshoot!...everybody's happy.”
thurs – Tonight I taught a camera class for Relief Society. It was fun.
Fri – While shopping, my kids headed just to the end of the isle from where I was and then I heard someone chuckle as they walked by…apparently I was taking too long in the candle section so my daughter decided to take a nap in the pillow display!
Dade did GREAT on his last day of driver’s ed…now to get his permit!!! Corben’s dad came and picked him up for the night, too.
“I need time to stop for just a bit so I can catch up! There is NO WAY I can get everything done that has to be done...so much for Summer BREAK!”
Sat - The boys dad drove up and spent the day with them. I ran the girls to the Temple for a Primary celebration. Ryan surprised us by showing up and spending the morning with us and taking us to eat afterwards!
When we got home there was terrible news. My SIL’s mom had gone in for heart surgery and complications left her fighting for her life. I can’t begin to tell you how concerned and heart broken I was for my SIL. I love her SO much!
That evening we headed over for a last visit with Grandma Joan!
Sun – Father’s Day!! We headed out for some time at the beach with my cousin, Patty, and her family!!
I was super excited to also find out that a photo I’d entered in a Father's Day contest came in as Runner Up and I won $100 from B&H Photo!!
