(3rd post in 2 days!)
Monday – Today, Ryan ventured into the pool with the girls!
Tuesday – Both girls had dentist appts today. No cavities and No plaque!! How’s that even possible? Guess I did something right for once! Ella had her openhouse for Kindergarten tonight. Despite the fact that she went kicking and screaming to the line of kids heading off for some time in the classroom, she had a blast and I could tell it’s where she’s supposed to be. Sylvie, on the other hand, did not handle everything as well…Sylvie sobbed all through Ella's Kindergarten Orientation. She was so sad that she's not big enough to go with Ella. They've never really been apart. She almost made me cry when she started sobbing..."I'm so small! Why aren't I growing?! I'm never going to be an Otter....look at my hands..they're so small. I miss Ella!!"
Ella had a great time and made this bus. She also took this picture of the playground. (Note the skirt again…oh and my camera has added an odd huge to all the photos…hope it goes away!)
Wed - Dade’s turn for the dentist! No cavities! :)
Thurs – Here is Dade…he’s been without computer for a bit so he’s kind of excited to be sitting in front of it again!
Spent the evening at my SIL’s. We ran out for some quick kid pics and then spent the evening at the pool! Such a wonderful time, we sure love them!
Cousins!…and a friend!
It was HOT and he was TIRED and so very ready for a SWIM!! lol
Friday – Last Day of School!! YIPPEE!!
Just got back from Corben's graduation from Elementary school! He's officially in Middle School! The award ceremony went great. Corben got MANY awards!
Corben with his 5th grade teacher, Mr. Chaplin.
Afterwards Corben and I headed out to IHOP for some celebratory Pancakes! (I even let him use my camera!)
Later on, Sylvie headed out for a sleep over at Fama’s house with Cousin Bean!
Here’s Fama’s story of how the sleepover went!!
After we left the pick-up point we headed to Michael's to find beads to make necklaces. The girls were so excited about the artificial flowers and were going around sniffing all of them as if fragrance was everywhere! We looked at different types of beads before settling on individual necklace/bracelet packages. From there we headed to Chick-fil-a for dinner. Afterwards we spent well over an hour in the play area with some new friends and lots of imagination. (I had fun too!) We headed home for a good bath but instead sat outside with Jason and Cassie watching the lightning dance in the clouds and occasionally find it's way to the ground. Sponge baths, teeth brushing, jamas and we were ready for a movie. Those little eyelids did not close until the moved ended around 11:30pm. Adam was coming at 7:30a to work on the mower and those eyelids popped back open as I opened the front door and they were ready to go. They poured and flipped pancakes that Aunt Cassie mixed up and finally got some fun tub time. Necklaces and bracelets came next with a short (20 min) cartoon rest while I tried out the mower. A few little jumps outside on the porch-trampoline and they discovered a rock waterfall I had gotten from someone at work and never brought in the house. Together they placed the stones all around it and it's running in my living room now. We packed up and headed to Sis Stewart's to delivery medicine and take out trash. Sis Stewart showed them her collection of cat items/pictures etc and her neighbor invited them to come see her kitten next door. Outside we looked between some trees and saw some geese swimming in the pond. Working as a team and carefully crossing the road, they carried her trash to the dumpster after going past the fallen tree limb, up a hill, and around the bushes. It was time to head out but climbing that fallen limb (more like a tree) was also an important thing to accomplish...and they did. From there we met everyone at Chick-fil-a for a second round of goodness and good play. The end (of THAT particular adventure anyway :-D)
Sat – We headed today to the bookstore for a bit then off to Chick-fil-a to meet up with cousins and pick up Sylvie!
House mostly clean, good time with friends, church lesson done, gifts wrapped for family birthday party tomorrow...all by 2:37am. Now to attempt to get some sleep before I have to get up at 6:30!!
Sun – Sunday we headed over to my Sister (and SIL’s) ward to attend the baby blessing of my sweet new niece! Man, I wish I went to church with all of them! I had the best time laughing and sitting together….sigh. (Today’s pics are all by my FIL! – Thanks!)
Afterwards, we celebrated the family birthdays for April, May, & June! Ella was so excited and kept asking me if she was 5 yet!
Now home in time to get ready for tomorrow’s family trip to the beach!
