8-10-08 Week in Review

We've been busy busy busy!! Monday we did the shopping and the bee sting. Fun! Tuesday we did the dentist. Not Fun! Well, some of it was....as we pulled up, Corben noticed this "ant" on the tree!
It's actually some leaves that got caught on a stick but it's so cool looking!

I then dragged 4 kids into the dentist where they soon asked me to keep my children quiet and have them quit running. I informed them that having Ella run was going to be much quieter than having her in my lap. They didn't believe me so I proved it at which point the look on the lady's face led me to send her out into the hall with Dade for a while while I went back with Corben and the screaming (for fun and with joy) Sylvie who "sat" in my lap.

Wednesday was Tae Kwon-Do.

I actually managed to snap a couple of pics this time! I also realized that they have free wifi there so I took Dade's laptop with me and storybooked while I watched! (I love Heritage Makers!) After that it was time to get the house cleaned up and get Dade ready for his church activity. They were watching slides from the Pioneer Trek. As we were passing Sonic on the way to the church Dade yells, "Hey look! It's the sonic Hotdog!" Being the "fun" mom that I am I swerve in, chase the hotdog into the store and drag him out to take a picture with Dade.

I like to call this one "Frank-n-Dade"

Dade was mortified but agreed to do so on the terms that's he'd get ice cream after his activity. Luckily for me they served ice cream at the church so I saved a few bucks!! (I made it up by taking him out Thursday night as a thanks for all of his help this week.)

Thursday we headed to the FREE activity at the library. I love free activities. There were games and icies. The boys won 2 drawings and several games. They came home with ANOTHER free T-shirt (one way to get my school shopping done), a window cling, a little bug that grows in water, a pool floaty, and a blow up football. Well worth the drive.

This is Sylvie's new favorite face to make!

She's been making it the last couple of days....look familiar?!
Friday RJ was over and Corben had Tae kwon-do. I managed to get a bit of video that I haven't had time to trim and there were a couple of kids that kept getting in the way but I think it shows his kicks pretty well.

Saturday my loving mother came over and watched the kids for several hours while Ryan and I headed out on a date. We went to dinner and then out to Raleigh Downtown Live. We were originally heading to ComedyWorx but Ryan hurt his back recently and didn't want to sit.
Listening to music in Moore Square was fun and we picked up some ice cream (and groceries, as usual) on the way home. It was a great night! Now Ryan's in working on his lesson for Elder's Quorum (one of our men's groups at church) tomorrow. After 2 years of early morning Seminary teaching he's great at putting together a lesson.

I'm going to go ahead and post this on Saturday night so I can work on my mom's storybook tomorrow. Have a great week!

Hi everyone!

It seems you all had a busy week last week. Dade, you look like you had a wondferful time on your Trek. Corben's "ant" is quite a find, and Silvie is getting so big! When did Ryan shave his head?

We are looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Love,
