8-3-08 Week in Review

Well, it was a week back to technology. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that we spent way too much time this week on computer and in front of the tv. Oh well, old habits die hard. We started the week out with dropping Dade off at 3:30 am to head out to Boy Scout Camp. He was so starved for computer that I later found out he stayed up all Sunday night so he could play computer from 12:01 am until it was time to leave for camp. Crazy kid! I blew up our baby pool and set up an umbrella and sent the other kids out for a day at the pool. It actually went really well, the girls loved it and Corben was really good about them climbing all over him. (He's so good with them.)
Corben headed out for some bike riding. He worked really hard on Tuesday taking off the old training wheels and getting the tires pumped up. The girls hung out at the window watching him for a long time!
Ella loves these toy links. She uses them as bracelets and wears them all times of the day (nap time, bath time, pool time, etc.). They're really great!

Sylvie has taken up Ella's spot at the window. I can often find them both there watching the squirrels and the trees.

Wednesday we went to the pool with my sister-in-laws, Erin and Jamie, and their boys. It was so nice! The girls really held their own in the baby pool and Corben had a wonderful time hanging out with everyone else in the big pool. Ella put on her floaties and spent a great deal of time floating around the pool on her back. She's turned into quite the fish!

I found this really cool web site from a friend of mine. Corben was so excited to come in and find this as my new computer wallpaper. I may have to make it into a poster for him!

Saturday Ryan headed out with his brother to shoot some guns and I hung around the house to help my mom make a book with Heritage Makers. At noon we ran out to pick up Dade from Scout Camp. I wish someone had snapped a shot of my face the first time he spoke to me....HIS VOICE CHANGED!!! I kept asking him if he had a sore throat or if he was feeling alright but he's fine and his voice is deeper! It's this low quiet voice now and I keep having to ask him to repeat himself. I'm sure I'll adjust to his new voice but in the mean time...it's kind of ...well, I guess I'm just not ready for my kids to grow up. Oh well. See ya next week!

So I guess you once you're a "wizard" you all of a sudden know how to ride a bike! Yeah Corben! (Though I must say with his little tongue sticking out that the headlines could have also said "Have you seen this LIZARD?"
