Fingers and Toes....

Sunday I finally got around to painting my toes before church. Ella was fascinated all morning at when we got home she ran over to the counter, grabbed the bottle of polish, and started pointing to her toes. I tried to put her off. I'd hate to get her started but she kept insisting and I finally gave in...I'm such a sucker for a cute face.

Here is Ella getting ready to pose for her toe picture.

Ella's painted toes. Believe it or not, she did have a bath this morning! Her feet are just a bit scared and bruised. She's a crazy kid.

So, Monday we're in the Foodlion parking lot and I'm loading up groceries while Ella is still sitting in the cart. Suddenly she starts screaming in pain. I run over and figure that she must have pinched her finger in the belt. I didn't see anything so I kissed it and hoped she'd stop crying. We still had some errands to run but since Ella was crying so hard in the back seat I had Dade run in to the store for me. She kept rubbing her finger but it kind of looked like she was signing banana and she had been trying to get a banana out of the cart before we got into the car so I figured she must be hungry and tired and since we had missed lunch and naps I couldn't really blame her. Corben worked really hard to calm her down and was finally successful. Well we got home a little bit later and I went to get Ella out of the car. Her hand was HUGE!! It looked like she'd stuffed a walnut in it and it was all red and tight. I had so much guilt! I ran in and put ice on it. After the ice most of the swelling was gone though you can see in the picture it was still pretty big. Her hand was hot and swollen so the pediatrician asked me to bring her in. We all decided it was a bee sting and all would be fine. Her hand is still a bit swollen today but she's taking it like a real trooper. Way to go, Ella!
Ella's hand AFTER we put ice on it and the swelling went down!

Ella eating her snack and keeping her hand on ice. She requested an ice pack for her other hand, too.

Poor Ella, that must have hurt.

I love the nail polish on the toes I have been wanting to do it to Gabi, but everytime she is asleep i don't want to accidently wake her.

I am so impressed with Dade and his computer animation things. He is amazing kid.
