Ryan started off the week helping his Dad at his home all day. Sylvie and I hung out until the kids came home (don’t you love her hair?) and then we all headed over to my brother’s house to surprise my mom for her birthday/Mother’s Day.
Mom was VERY surprised and we all had a fun evening together.
Did you know that if you turn a sparing helmet around it makes you look like a hippo?? LOL
Here’s prego me…and my POOR FOOT. It’s not as bad as it looks. My feet are SO swollen that when I rested it on the edge of the stool I was sitting in it made it look like I had a huge cut. I can’t wait until all this water weight is gone!
Here’s Adam’s new boat!! (Please excuse Dade’s filming…)
Tuesday Sylvie spent the day with her wonderful friend. They are loving getting make overs. I had an OB appt. where they decided to refer me to a chiropractor for my hips being out of place.
Here’s a pic of Corben doing what he’s always doing! Dade was running in the store for me since my hips are messed up and walking is not my favorite pass time…
Thursday was my mom’s birthday! Happy Birthday, Mom! (I never actually get to say it to her face on her birthday since she’s always playing in the mountains with friends. :) I also got a little “kidless” time at church tonight. I love hangin’ with my fellow Sisters!
Friday evening we attended the viewing of a dear friend, Flo, who passed away this week from Cancer. She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed.
Saturday we attended the amazing tribute to Flo. What a celebration of her life and legacy. I’m inspire to be a better mother and wife.
Afterwards, Corben and I headed out for an art filled day together. I love doing this kind of thing with him. He has a real appreciation for the work people do. He also found a very cool Indian style flute that he’s DYING to own. I love that he loves music!
Sunday we had the missionaries over for lunch and took a fun family photo with Corben in his Steve head (Minecraft) for Elder E. He’s leaving our area and thought the head was awesome. The girls played out in the yard with Ryan and I was soon called out to view this gem on Ella’s hand. She thought it was SO cool!….until…I told her to go wash her hands! (My bad..)
Science lesson for the day: The slime from a Banana Slug DOES NOT WASH OFF!...in fact it is a GLUE activated by WATER! 35 minutes of SCRAPING off what wouldn't come off with soap/goo gone/carburetor cleaner and we think we got most of it. Ella was NOT a happy camper (but it's still kind of funny).
