7-3-2011 Week in Review…

Our week started EARLY as I was up at 4 something to help get Dade out the door and to the church to head out on his Scout High Adventure trip.  The boys are riding 125 miles over the course of the week at the Beach!  Since I was up and out I decided to go to the gym for a couple of hours.  It was SO nice…I hope I don’t hurt tomorrow.  We spent the rest of the day cleaning the house and Ryan was able to (mostly) complete the work on the walls and ceilings.  They look better than when he bought the house!  Now we just have to put up the popcorn ceiling and paint the walls the right color again.

It’s weird without Dade here.  I miss him.

Went to visit Jason & Cassie in their NEW HOUSE!!  It’s amazing!  I’m so excited for them.  My kids made sure to leave dirty foot prints…on the walls…sigh. :)  I’m extra excited that they live close to us!

Scouts was very cool tonight! They brought in some venomous snakes for the boys to view and had a presentation on snakes in our area.  I LOVE snakes.  (I know, I’m weird)  I used to have a ball python named Bubba that I’d raised from a baby.  I took it with me everywhere.  It would slide around in my coat in stores, hang from my rear view of my car, and even took a few trips to the beach!  I once was stopped by store security because they were sure I was hiding things in my coat…imagine there surprise when they saw a snake!  lol  Bubba ruled!  Last I saw Bubba, she was headed off to join a group of snakes that would be taken around to schools and museums so kids could meet and touch them.  I hope she’s lived a long and happy life.

Afterwards, I headed to Target looking like Super Woman!  I had two extra kids with me (borrowed while their brother went to get stitches) and walking with 5 kids just draws looks of respect (and craziness) from strangers. I thought it was funny.

Here’s us at the local pool with cousins!

Corben headed out of town with my fabulous sister and her family to visit my dad!  There was the showing of the sword…

In the mean time, I was picking up the girls, picking up Dade, attending a baptism, and then rushing back to get Corben.  I’m going to attempt to have Dade blog about his trip to Scout Camp!

We had Dade for a very short time before he was packed back up and headed out to for a week of Wrestling Camp!  Man, that kid is busy….
