Freaky Eaters on TLC

So, my good PEA associate, Amber, got picked to be on TLC’s Freaky Eaters show because he pretty much eats fries all the time.  It’s not the only food she eats (her diet is actually pretty similar to mine (except she eats hamburger)) but the show decided to portray her that way.  I am posting the links to the youtube videos.  There are 3.

Now, I want you to know, before you view this, that this show was very manipulated.  6 days of filming = less than 30 minutes of show.  They made some false statements, showed scenes out of order and implied that Amber was willing to quit over trying new foods when in fact there was a lot more going on around her that we never see.  Despite what it says at the end of the show, she did not add but a few new foods to her diet and she still eats fries all the time.  She was not FIXED.  HOWEVER…Amber did learn a few things AND validated all us PEAs by having genetic testing done that proved her tongue didn’t work the same as the rest of the world.  We’ve all been saying that our whole lives and no one has ever believed us!  This show is also a great example of what it’s like to try new foods.  It’s hard.  I’m so thankful to Amber for all she went through and for all she learned and shared with the rest of us PEAs!  You rock, Amber!

What she says in Part 1--that she "would not choose to eat like this"--I BELIEVE that! Because really, why would someone choose to eat the same exact food all the time 24/7, unless they really, truly cannot stomach other food?

I'd be crying too, the way they were talking down to her. "I told you so" never sets well with me when it comes to new foods. thanks for sharing
