I NEED A NAP!! I should be taking it instead I’m writing this blog….
What did we do this week?? We got ready for Ella’s party!! (Oh, and a few other things, too.)
Monday was Ella’s friend’s birthday (her mom and I were in a race to see who would have our baby first and she OBVIOUSLY won….)
Here’s Corben playing skeetball with his best friend, Christian….
And this is Ella….attacking Chucky Cheese….Again. He couldn’t shake her and kept almost tripping over her.
Then…..Ryan & I went on a date shopping….
Tuesday was Ella’s 4th Birthday!! She was so excited. AND since I apparently only take nice pics of my kids AROUND their birthday and not ever ON their birthday (see previous post) I decided to make sure we had nice ones this year!!
Wednesday, Dade had an ENT appt. where they decided that he should have nasal surgery. He has a chronic sinus infections so they’re going to do some work to clear things out so he can breath better and won’t be in so much pain all the time…..
Thursday we headed to Fayetteville to visit with friends and family. While the boys spent a few hours with their grandparents, I headed over to see a friend from high school and pick up some fabulous costumes from her. I LOVE spending time with her…she always makes me laugh so hard! Thanks, Kim!! (Your costumes were a GREAT HIT!)
Then…I got pics of the BOYS!!
Friday was panic day for the party….SO much to do!! Lucky for me I have the most amazing friends and family and they all take such good care of me. My mom kept calling to ask if I needed certain things and it was always the very important thing I’d forgotten to get. She filled in all the details that made the party. Thanks, Mom! My sister worked all day in the heat to put together the most beautiful Sleeping Beauty cake EVER! (I did the roses….).
She gave up at least a DAY of her life to this cake and THEN was still willing to convince her husband to brave the heat and play Prince Charming riding in on a horse for our party. (Thanks, Chad, it wouldn’t have been a princess party without the Prince!!) And Thanks Tammy for it ALL!! My boys worked on getting the house ready and made a Dragon Piñata!! (Oh, how I wish I’d taken a picture during production….sigh). By Friday night I was stressed out and wondering if it was going to all get done and then my Loving Neighbor showed up to save the day. In no time at all I was laughing and getting things done. She really saved me!
Saturday started EARLY. I was cleaning, putting up balloons & tool, and trying to breathe!
The party went FANTASTIC!! (I’m very thankful to my hubby and to my very talented and very giving friend, Tara, for taking pictures for me since I was a little busy being a princess myself!)
The Princesses had plenty to do: paint their nails, decorate frames, make bracelets, or play pin the kiss on the frog!
We then moved outside for the big Surprise. This is the girls calling for Prince Charming!!
He rode in on his Trusty Steed and took Princess Ella off on her own special ride.
Next, each of the other Princesses got to walk the red carpet and get their own ride with the Prince!
While they waited “patiently” they could play a Dragon Egg relay game or explore the Real Castle!
Then it was time to eat Sleeping Beauty have cake! The birthday girl LOVED it! (Oh, and check out Princess Morgan’s green party hat to the left...that you can barely see. I took sparkling party hats and added rainbow ribbon out the top and hanging down to make them look like princess hats!…)
Then presents….this is Ella getting right in my face to whisper excitedly that it’s a box of Princess Dresses!
Here’s the best pic we have of the Dragon-to-be-slain. Originally it’s head and tail stuck straight out and it’s wings were wide but hanging out in the head made the heavy middle droop so he looked like he’d already been wrangled and roped before anyone had even taken a swing.
Princess Ella slaying the dangerous dragon….which was finally taken out by Prince Corben!
Princess Ella and several of the many visiting Princesses. (A few had left at this point and a few had changed out of their dresses because it was SO HOT!!)
Now, you’d have thought that was enough to have packed into one day…however….
Then it was time for my niece, Gabi’s, birthday party!! My SIL always throws AMAZING parties!
Sylvie was pushing Gabi in the swing!
This one’s called….Pinata in a rain storm!! (It was the ultimate water party!)
Here is Sylvie in her new Sticker Earrings that she loved….loved so much that later when I asked where they were she told me she ATE them….sigh.
And now it’s Sunday, our day of rest so I’m going to get offline and go REST!!
