There are good weeks, and there are bad weeks, and then there are the weeks that only God gets you through. I won't go in to details, but this week was one of those weeks. Sometimes I sit back and look at my blog and see that I often paint a rosey picture of my life simply in the fact that I leave out the yucky parts and express my great joy in the good. I don't think that's because I'm trying to fool anyone but simply that some facts and events are more suited for my personal journal or a private conversation than for a public display. So, as you read over my crazy weeks packed full of everything under the sun, say a little prayer that I'm not losing my mind and that I'm continuing to see the joy in all I do. Sometimes I'm just tired. Last week was exhausting but I saw the Lord's hand all along the way. I heard from 3 friends that almost never call me that just felt like they should. What a blessing. I had family come by and help clean up the FIVE (yes 5) paint jobs done by a certain child. I had friends volunteer to help me with some pretty big tasks. I find that when the Lord sees we need something, He sends us angels to make up for all our loss and to carry us when we're oh so tired. I am so thankful for all the angels who carried me this last week. I love you.
Okay, now that you're all curious as to what happened but that will have to wait until you break into my journal or we sit down for that private conversation.....some things just aren't blog worthy.
So, here in a much cheerier manner is our crazy week....
Monday - Started out getting to do some service for an old friend of mine. It was so great to get out of the house and not talk about ME! Add a wonderful visit from my SIL (who scrubbed yucky off of my walls because she's AWESOME like that...). Then.....Corben's baseball game!! He got to play catcher and he was Amazing!! My brother and his friend got to come and so did my mom. What fun!
Tuesday - Doctor appts, dr appts......
Wednesday - Baseball
Thursday - Dr appts & a spider on our porch. The spider is now gone.....
Friday - Okay, so I have a "new" blog to go along with all this photography I'm doing. I have mixed thoughts on the name so any input is welcome. I have been thinking for MONTHS on a name for my photography business but it just doesn't come to me. Nothing sounds perfect or feels like it fits....so, I've currently gone with CS Heritage Photography. I know, it sounds like an old person but since I do love preserving history so much it just seemed to be something I could use. So, now I present.....http://csheritage.blogspot.com.....my photo blog. No guarantees that I won't change the name at least once....but oh well. It's still in the works but has photos from the Senior Portrait session I had the privilege of doing Friday morning while a wonderful NN watched my girls!
After the photoshoot we took Ella to the doc to have her ears checked because she'd been rubbing them and had a little bit of blood and sure enough! A DOUBLE ear infection! I know, that's not supposed to happen after tubes but have you met my family?? We never do anything the Right way. Antibiotics, here we come!
Saturday - We had to wake up EARLY!! Dade was participating in his Scout troop fundraiser and they were serving breakfast at a local diner called Andy's. Corben and I tagged along and got some yummy food and a few pics.
After Dade was done I took him to Foodlion to introduce him to the many perks of couponing. There was a deal going on where their candy bars were B1G1 free and there was a coupon for B1G1 free so together the candy was FREE!! (plus tax). So, when I first went to ring up my candy I had 4 coupons and the self checkout freaked out after 2. As Dade saw the manager coming over I could see the panic in his face, like we were going to be caught stealing or something. It was funny. I verified that there was no limit to the number of coupons I could use and then the manager rang in my other 2 coupons for me. Dade was so excited. He stood at that register buying candy bar after candy bar. He would have been there all day except there was a line forming behind us and I made him leave. Grand total?? 18 candy bars for 27 cents!! That's about a penny and a half a piece!! Here's a pic of Dade....after he'd already eaten a few. He now thinks couponing is Amazing...and should be borderline illegal...lol.
Sunday - Church and then we had some new friends over for dinner. We had a great time hanging out and getting to know each other. The kids stayed outside the whole time eating radishes straight from the garden and catching fire flies. Have I mentioned that I love my yard??
Okay, so there were many more visits from friends and family this week that didn't get mentioned but you all know who you are. Thanks for helping me through a rough week. I don't know what I would have done without you all. I am so thankful to my Father in Heaven for all of his love and support. What would I do without Him??!!

Daniel has had a couple infections after his tubes, too. Our doctors tell us that the tubes don't prevent infections from ever occurring, they just make them less likely, and allow the potentially damaging fluids to drain.
Awesome work with the candy bars! I was planning to go to Andy's but completely forgot.
I love the way you present your weeks. You are hopeful, and that's contagious.
I know we all have those moments, days, weeks, seasons, when we really have to really on Heavenly Father to make it through. I actually appreciate that you would mention feeling that way but not go into it. It's always the shifting of my focus to the blessings in my days that make it easier to bear the other things going on in my life. And I totally understand how those yucky times are better left for a private journal or a conversation with a loved one.
I love you Christy!! Hope the next week goes better than the last.
I'm sorry you had a yucky week. When are we going out? I'm going to the temple on Tuesday. Wanna come? If we do inititories, we could go out to dinner afterwards!
Please post pictures of your kitchen. I can't wait to see it!
