(Okay, so first of all, I'm playing with Picasa's collage feature so please excuse the mass use of it in this post....) Let's see, what did we do this week? Well, Monday it rained a bit so I took some pictures of the yard through rain drops on the windows. You have to click on them to really see but I thought they were kind of cool.
Tuesday, Corben was home with CVS (no throwing up, thank goodness!). Wednesday started SPRING BREAK!!! Wednesday I headed out to play with a lens I got for Christmas that I've been trying to master...I still have a lot of work to do. It's manual focus so sometimes it's hard to get just right. Here's one of Corben I love though he says he's squinting.
As you can see, Corben's cabbage has gotten pretty big. He's already told my mom that he's going to "let her" buy it from him when it's fully grown. She's actually very excited about that since she likes cabbage.
Aunt Rachel also came over on Wednesday and read stories to the girls. I LOVE the group picture we got....LOL...Sylvie is actually saying CHEEEESE.
Wednesday night was a field trip to take pics of the Raleigh skyline. Remind me to edit out the big phone pole in the picture!!
Dade left Thursday for a 2 night scout camp out...at the Beach!! They went to the aquarium and Ft. Macon and spent some time playing in the waves. Lucky boy!
Saturday was so nice out so I headed out again with the new lens to try some shots of the girls. They've become very resistant to pictures and so it's hard for me to get a face shot! The run away laughing and yelling NOOOO!! I'm doomed. I did, however, catch enough to make me happy for the day. (They're wearing some of the new clothes they were so excited about.)
Saturday night, I was going a little stir crazy (having spent all of Spring BREAK cleaning up after 4 kids) so I headed out to the local mall to get something just for me. I called two of my SILs and they met me there because they're awesome like that! It was so much fun! I bought a new dress, shoes, and several new tops. The company was great and we had fun. Thanks my wonderful Sisters!! I love you!
Sunday was, of course, Easter and my girls were SUPER happy to get new Easter hats and bags. They were so funny walking into church with their bonnets and their purses hanging from their elbows. They knew they looked spectacular. I haven't been able to get the hats off of them since! Ella even walks around holding hers on. I think she thinks it might blow away or something. Again, it was hard to get pics, but here are a few.
After church, Sunday, we headed over to the pond for the Schneg family birthday/Easter get together. We had a REAL egg hunt (the eggs weren't real, it was just a good hunt) with the eggs hidden all back through the woods. The boys loved having a real challenge and then finding that some of the eggs had money in them! Ella was so grown up about the whole thing. She gathered as many as she could until we told her to stop, then she calmly sat down in the grass and began opening one egg at a time, asking for help to open the candy, eating it, and then moving on to the next egg. At one point, Nathan came over and sat next to her. He grabbed some of his candy and said, "Ella, look at what I got!". She looked over at him and said, "COOL!!". I laughed so hard. I'd never heard her say that before. After the egg hunt, we finished off our fire cooked meals and had homemade ice cream and cake! YUM! Dade headed out for some fun on the four wheeler with Aunt Heather and we hung out with the family around the fire. It was a fabulous evening and a great way to end the week!
Well, I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter. I am so thankful to my Savior for the love He has for me. He Lives!!
The End.
