Well, this was a week of crazy weather! It started off with freezing temperatures and snow and ended with temperatures in the 80's!! This was the view out my back window Monday morning. School was, of course, canceled so the kids were ecstatic. We just hung around the house and enjoyed the day.
Tuesday school was delayed but I still got plenty done. Due to my own inability to stay on top of each new organizational plan I make I decided to call in a professional. The woman I chose is also a decorator (something I desperately need) so I was really excited. I wouldn't actually recommend this to anyone unless you're as desperate as I am for a beautiful home, she's quite expensive. Thus my desire to start charging for photo sessions and trying a bit harder at my Heritage Makers business. I've had family and friends help me in the past and we've done great things together. Thing is, since they know me so well they let me get away with too much. I knew if I was paying for the service I'd do a better job of listening!! Anyway, this is going to be a slow process but one I'm excited to see take place. I'm tired of my house looking like a bachelor pad!! -- Tuesday night was Home, Family, & Personal Enrichment night at church. All us ladies got together and learned about being better united. We also got to share some of our strengths and talents....yes, I yodeled. :) It was a nice evening.
Friday I decided to venture out with the girls to Shelley Lake with our playgroup. I haven't been going to every activity because Ella is pretty much only interested in one thing....running!! (Thus the harnesses in the pictures below!) The girls were pretty good. Ella did get away a few times (pic #2) but my friends were very helpful. We fed the geese, chased birds, had a picnic, & finished up with some time at the playground. It was a gorgeous day and the girls had a lot of fun.
It was a fun day!! Corben spent Friday night with my mom and Saturday was spent running Dade from service project to birthday party to sleep over!! He's a busy boy! Sunday was another gorgeous day so, of course, I headed out with my camera. (For future reference....Ella these pictures show you in a spaghetti strap dress. It had a jacket that you had just taken off before the pics and since we were in the yard and it was so hot I didn't worry too much about it but realized after the pics I should have had it on you. You are not allowed to bring this up later in life as me letting you wear skimpy stuff, this is the only time you've ever worn such a dress without an undershirt....okay I'm done.) (Yes, I'm trying to start their modest dressing early!!) ANYWAY, we pulled out this great chair I found on the side of the road (you may have seen it). I thought it would be great for some pics. So, here once again, is too many pictures of a single hour out in the yard. :)
This is the first
Four Leaf Clover
that Corben has
ever found on his
own!!
Corben planted
a Cabbage plant
as a project for
school!
It was a nice week all around. We're sure looking forward to more of this great weather!!
The End.
