One Curl!!!!

So, as many of you have noticed, my Ella has bone straight hair.  You may have read of my disappointment when I took a curling iron to it and got....NOTHING!!  It wouldn't curl at all!!  Now, Ryan's sister has the same hair and told me that when she was little her mom would role her hair in socks overnight and that she would have curls that lasted for days.  I got excited!  I shared the story with my friend, Lisa.  That week Lisa found Pillow Curlers in an Avon Catalog and brought them to church for Ella.  So we tried it.....

Ella actually sat and let me put them in!!  She ran around all night saying, "Pillow, pillow!".  It was so cute!!  When I put her to bed she laid right down and didn't complain a bit!  She even said, "1, 2 pillow!".  I was so excited!!!

DSC_0291 So here's Ella's cute curls on the side of her head.  She'll look funny all day with her one puff of curls but I'm okay with that....at least they're there!!

So cute!!!

Next time if you are up for it again, put gel in her hair while wet before curling and then once they are curled spray with a little bit of hair spray. That may help....

She's still too cute for words anyway!!

Christy that's DARLING! My mom did that with us girls--but she used socks. :)

Lol! Did she take them out or did they fall out? I remember begging Mom to put socks in my hair when it was wet at night. I won't tell you how old I was the last time I asked. haha :P Anyway... it worked wonders for me. Also, I found that using a 1/2 inch size curling iron on my hair actually works. Anything bigger than an inch and it doesn't work. Hope that helps. Love you!

She pulled them all out, they were in too tight to fall out, I made sure!

At least your little girl HAS hair! =)

Now you know it will work if you can just keep them in.
