So…it’s ACTUALLY June 18th but we’ll pretend it’s Feb 3rd…right? So here’s a sporadic crazy blog 6 months later…
First…pics from maybe last year that straggled in and have no where to go. They’re from Ella at school and I should probably figure out where they go from last year but right now they’re staying here for you to look at. :)
Okay, back to things…
14th – I went to the dentist and had a horrible time. So bad that I had to go back because the assistant burned my tongue and gums. Meh.
Here’s a pic of Dade wearing his girlfriend’s hat.
15th – Collin is rocking back and forth on his hands and knees as of the last 2 days but he still goes backwards and he hates that but he’s getting there. – I think it’s about time we get him a crib!!
Gma Joan came and visited us today! Yay!
16 – We got a CRIB!!! WOOHOO!! -- Today Collin extended his legs so he was up on his toes. Ugh. He also pulled up several times to almost standing. At least he’s still stuck if I put him on his back! That baby is so beautiful it’s hard for me to see him growing so fast. I love him so much and I guess I am really looking forward to him getting to an age where we can all play…it’s just that not staying in one place phase I worry about!
The kids were good today, life is good today, I should go to bed before I mess it up!
18th – the birds are back in our yard again. Same time as last year!!
Will someone please tell my baby that he's supposed to just lay there and stop crawling everywhere? I need to go find my gate...
Our big fat, over 9000 lbs., 15 year old BOX TV finally broke!!! (Thanks to everyone who offered to come break it for me.) I considered cancelling cable and feeling free but I think my kids would die so the Schnegel-kins are getting their very first flat screen. See, kids, we always catch up eventually. :)
19 – We went to gymnastics AND I cleaned and I mopped the floor. Enough said.
20th – Corben & I went to go meet my newest nephew, Aaron!! What a cutie!
Collin loves his crib and so do I!!
Oh, almost forgot, Mom brought Dade to church today which was such a gift. I loved him in his bow tie! I also got to help Ryan in Primary. He’s such a great teacher.
21st – Do you hear it?? Mama!! (I’ll take what I can get…)
22 – I finally went and did some Visiting Teaching and my brother & his wife opened their Etsy Shop!
23 – Ella track in today. I had one of the worst dreams ever last night. Ella had been killed. I woke up sobbing. Hard to shake the feeling.
Collin started really moving forward today he’s getting pretty quick
24 – Going through old family videos today. Picked out a few pics (don’t hate me Adam).
Thinking of setting up a "baby run" from the computer room to the living room. Kind of like a dog run outside...but for babies...inside. Now where did I leave that leash?
I also got some more Visiting teaching done, took Sylvie to Kindergarten readiness, and picked up Dade from school!
25 – 4 hr. early release today due to an incoming ice storm. Ryan was home and we found a dead deer in the yard. :(– Corben missed the bus after school & Dade drove to get him. Entire day of tears from Ella over the deer. She prayed for it, Worried it was cold without it’s body. Worried it wasn’t with it’s family. Said it scared her. Sobbed & sobbed for hours.
26 – Boys headed to their dad’s. Ryan worked from home today. My mom also found a cool bit of family history.
Christian Ulrich is the father-in-law of our g-granduncle. He was one of Lincoln’s Avengers!
No playing outside today so we had a tea party!
27 – I taught Relief Society today. It went really well! Here’s the talk I was using: (See Others as They May Become - Pres. Thomas S. Monson)
28 – Back to school…after a 3 hour delay.
Sylvie's making a belt!
What happens when you leave them alone for just a moment…
29 – Finally, a gorgeous day! We sure needed it!
Doors are open and we've already spent two long play periods outside! I have errands to run but I think they can wait until tomorrow...
30 Ella fever no school – Sylvie to gymnastics…Ella took pics
31 – Dade dr. appt. Ella no school again due to illness. AND…(lol) Ryan was supposed to be off of work but he forgot!!
Collin is currently getting up 2 & 3 times a night. He’s cutting his 2 front teeth, starting to try to crawl with his tummy off the floor and getting around pretty quickly & eating baby food pretty well. I let him drink out of a cup and he didn’t do terrible which shows he doesn’t hate the taste of the formula, just the fashion in which it’s delivered. I’ve really got to figure this out.
1 – Ryan off work
Two days ago when I set Collin on his back he was stuck there, he could sit if I sat him, and he was starting to low crawl around the room on his tummy. Last night I set him on his back only to watch him roll over, push up to a sitting position, crawl over to the couch (with tummy off of the floor), pull up to standing, and then cruise along the couch...NOOOOOO!! WHYYYY???...I mean...Yay-ish, Collin! I'm so happy-ish your growing!
2 – Ryan was home so I was able to go to a community service expo with Cassie! Yay!– They had this wall where you were supposed to trace your hand. My hand is fat and when I trace it it looks fatter. SO I tried to put the marker just a little closer so I wouldn’t have a funny handprint. Oh well!! It looked like an alien hand! Buahahahahha. It was pretty funny.
We found a fun service project that involved us building a birdhouse! Cassie has an Etsy show where they sell things they’ve made from pallet wood. This is right up her alley! This very kind Brother wanted to give us some tips…he proceeded to make the whole thing. It was cute and funny. We never said a thing.
Went with mom & Corben to see the play at Dade’s school. He was running the lights! Corben spend the night w/fama afterwards.
While we were gone the girls were having a ton of fun with daddy!
3 – I’m so proud of my girls! They bore their testimonies in church today! Ella has been saving the testimony she wrote up last month and had even included pictures which she didn’t use while she gave it but when I find them I’ll include them here. Ryan spent the evening making a fire and taking pics and video.
Spent the evening by a warm fire trying to get Collin to take a bottle (no luck.) – Nursing is SO hard right now. I’m worried.
