Here’s a picture of the graduation cake I made for a friend last week. It’s rough but I’m pregnant…(that’s my current excuse/explanation for everything).

Monday I actually got some time out with Ryan. Our times out together are always to the store but I’ll take what I can get!
Tuesday was Dade’s last day of school. I got up early to drive Corben to the bus stop and then had every intention of going to bed but Dade begged me to drive him to the bus stop since it was his last day and it’s a good thing I did. They had a sub driver who drove right past us! Needless to say I had to drive Dade to school… I have to say that I’m not going to be missing Dade’s school at all. Well, I’ll miss how close it is but that’s it! I got home in time for our neighbor’s daughter to get dropped off early for school at our house, take a quick shower and rush out the door with Sylvie as soon as Ryan pulled back in the driveway from the morning school run. I drove straight to Corben’s school to buy him the tickets for his school festival that I forgot to give him money for, made it by one minute to my chiropractic appt. and then rushed over for my OB where they told me I’d probably be pregnant forever…give or take. I got home just in time for Dade to walk through the door. (Can I nap now?) Later that afternoon my amazing friend, Tara, stopped by to drop off this goodie! Can you believe she made me a MOTORCYCLE?? She’s awesome!

Dade left in the afternoon to go and view Venus crossing in front of the sun with a good buddy of his at his new school. I hear there are photos. I’ll let you know…
Wednesday morning Corben and I were headed to the bus stop about 5:45am and I noted that the sky was bright and pink in the WEST…the sun rises in the EAST, right? Well the sunrise was AMAZING to the East but as I backed out of the driveway looking to the West again I realized that not only was the sky lit up but there was a beautiful rainbow!! No rain…no clouds…just a random early morning rainbow that was gone 5 minutes later. Guess it was just for me & Corben! :)

Corben spent the day at his school festival. Dade had a youth activity after church. They walked over to the next neighborhood to visit the sweet Brother from church who lost his wife last week. The congregation helped them put together a scrapbook from all the families to take with him when he moves away to live with his children. We love you Brother Brantley! (pics via Lea S.)

Thursday was Corben’s last day of school! YIPPEE!! It was also my nephew’s b-day! Happy Birthday, Nathan!!
Friday I was so excited to have both my boys home! BUT they spent the day at a friend’s house. I guess they can have some fun, too. :) I know in my head that this baby won’t be here for a few more WEEKS but in my heart I keep hoping it will be sooner and I’m feeling the pressure of getting everything together and getting my house cleaned up (something that’s hard with my current lack of mobility). I decided to brave a trip to the store and let the girls go with me. They were CRAZY. I was able to get some of the things I’ve been needing except a diaper bag. I just can’t seem to find one that works for me… However, I did find THIS:

Admittedly I was shocked! I guess, though, that out there among the rest of the world where drinking is an accepted form of entertainment even amongst church goers that this is a good thing. I wish that it wasn’t even a consideration that a breastfeeding mom would drink but since that’s not the way of the world I’m thankful that they can at least do it a bit more responsibly. I expect there will be a home test for DRUGS in breast milk next. And if not, maybe there should be!
Saturday morning I was able to head out with Ryan for some more US time…I mean shopping time. It was nice to be out with him. That afternoon we headed out for a busy evening. First stop, my niece's dance recital. She did an amazing job and looked so beautiful in her different dresses. Way to go, Gabi!! From there I dropped my kids at my SIL’s and drove to a photo shoot. I know, I’m CRAZY!! I can barely walk/sit and I agreed to a photo shoot! However, this family always gets things done QUICK and they don’t run so it wasn’t so hard. It is my LAST shoot, though, for a while!!

I then rushed back to get my kids from an evening of swimming with their cousins and got home in time to crash into bed. UGH.
Sunday I’d planned to try church in the Mother’s Lounge with the soft seats but I’m having SO many braxton hicks contractions and hurting so much that I just stayed home again. I’d love it if all of these contractions were actually doing something besides making me crazy!!
The kids spent the afternoon making an awesome fort!

Sunday evening I went out with Dade for a special event. I love spending time with him and seeing him grow so strong spiritually!
