I’m writing this a month late so don’t expect a lot of detail in the next month’s worth of posts. I’ve been sick and just not up to writing. I’m only on here now because there’s a load of laundry in the dryer and due to a broken part it has to be manually stopped. Thus I’ll be up for another 30 minutes at least….
Monday…the day didn’t start well. I drove Corben to the bus as usual but Dade was running behind and asked me to come back for him. Corben’s bus was late so instead of waiting, Dade decided to walk up and meet us. It’s pitch black out and there’s no one out so when your side door suddenly and loudly opens and there’s a full grown person standing there you’re kinda gonna scream like a girl. I thought Corben was going to cry it scared us so badly. Dade, of course, thought it was pretty funny…. Doom and gloom on him!
Ryan snagged me a broken Kitchenaid off of Craigslist today for $25 bucks. Took him all of 5 minutes to fix it and now we have a top of the line, very expensive Kitchenaid mixer!! YIPPEE!!
We went that night to a child’s birthday party and I actually convinced Ryan to go. We had a great time hanging with friends and enjoying ourselves. So nice to be out with other grownups!!
I had a weird dream tonight. It was the stereotypical lost at school with a test to take with the added walking around in my PJ”s. At some point though I reached down and felt a baby kick in my stomach and thought, Wow, I’ve been pregnant all this time and didn’t know it….
Tuesday – Spent the day hanging and shopping with Sylvie and trying NOT to buy a pregnancy test. I refuse to waste another one of those things when I have absolutely NO symptoms what so ever.
Bought one anyway.
Finally took it around midnight.
It was negative….ish. About 10 minutes later the slightest hint of nothing showed up….what’s that supposed to mean???
Thursday I got to spend the day with one of my most awesome friends. She and I have been friends since middle school and had many MANY adventures together over the years. She has the sweetest most beautiful little boy and it was so fun to spend a day with them at the museum!! (Enjoy the pics, I think they may be the last ones I’ve taken in a month….)
So, I caved and took test #2…it was POSITIVE!! Ryan brought me home Roses and STEAKS!!
Friday was busy but fun! I was starting to feel a bit worn out though…we started off at Chucky Cheese to celebrate my nephew’s b-day! Thanks Tam for takin’ pics!
That night we headed over to Tam’s for Coyer’s big party and I told my mom about the baby!! She was VERY surprised. There is video to show this and it’s a MUST see but it will have to wait until I get it from Tam.
Saturday I was a photographer at the Step Out Diabetes walk. I didn’t do the entire walk but did run about the same distance backwards getting shots and catching different groups. Fun but exhausting!!
Here’s some cute pics of the girls…
That evening we headed out to an AMAZING party for a friend of mine and her hubby! Her hubby is a HUGE Dukes of Hazzard fan and I was able to help my friend find the General Lee and have it come for a visit. The look on her husband’s face was priceless. Well worth the effort, by far.
Sunday ended up just being a nice day with family. We spent time at the park, Dade played football with Corben for a LONG time and then Corben played with the girls and our neighbor for hours in the yard until well after dark. It was the most beautiful day and I’m so blessed to have my family to spend it with.
