Monday was SUPPOSED to have been the 1st day of Spring Break but thanks to all our previous snow, it was a School Day. Despite moaning and groaning and the many statements that everyone else wasn’t being forced to go, by boys headed out for school.
Spring Break started early in the morning with a photoshoot and the kids hanging out at their wonderful Aunt Jamie’s. (We love her!)
When I got to Jamie’s I found the girls had the most beautiful bows in their hair!
So, while the kids played, Jamie and I made hair bows!! We made SO many. They were amazingly easy and fun! Thanks, Jamie!!
Wednesday the girls had a Dr. Appt. where I was told that neither of them was gaining enough weight. They suggested that maybe I could take a class downtown on nutrition. I LAUGHED SO HARD!! I then informed them that not only does Ella eat almost as much as Dade (if not more), that both of my girls run ALL day and that if it was so necessary for me to focus on weight vs. eating right and exercise that I was more than willing to sit the girls down in front of the Disney Channel all day and stuff them with Bon Bons & Milkshakes. The doctor then apologized and we were on our way. Seriously, people, Ella would rather eat corn than candy and I’m not exaggerating!!
Thursday was more pictures. I just LOVE these newlyweds. They are so cute it’s almost sickening! LOL
Corben skateboarded while I did the shoot. Don’t you just love his new shiny helmet??
Saturday the boys headed out early with their dad for the weekend. It was General conferance so we hung close to home in the morning and then headed over to my SIL’s for the April family party. YEAH!!
We had SO much fun eating s’mores, finding eggs FULL of candy and playing with cousins! Sylvie loved the cheetos, can you tell? Brinley did her hair and loaned her the princess necklace and hairbands. Sylvie was so happy!
Saturday night Ella was telling someone how Santa comes down the chimney. (She has a Christmas book that she loves to read every night.) Well, her aunt asked her if she knew who was coming down the chimney in the morning. Ella didn’t know, so her aunt told her it was the Easter Bunny!
SO…..Early Easter morning the girls came down to find that the Easter Bunny had, in fact, come down the chimney and left them bags of candy where their stockings would have hung. Generations from now, my great great grandchildren will wonder how this weird family tradition got started! Anyway, Ella was very excited but Sylvie was very concerned about going near the chimney. Wouldn’t want any rabbits to jump out!
The boys showed up later that evening having had a wonderful time with their dad, as usual.
