Following in the footsteps of my fellow bloggers I am listing 25 random things about myself.
1. I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints & lead the children's music at church. I have a strong testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and His love for me...and YOU!!
2. I love to read but rarely have time to read anything more than my scriptures.
3. I have been married twice. My first marriage lasted 7 years and we have two handsome boys. We are still good friends. Ryan and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary and have two beautiful little girls!
4. I am the oldest of 9 children: 6 girls and 3 boys. I am in contact with at least one of my siblings or my mom almost daily. I think I have the funniest family EVER!! -- I also have been blessed with AMAZING in-laws!! Lucky me!
5. I am a 3rd generation yodeler & made it to the semi-finals of the Yahoo! Yodel Challenge. (I lost to the little girl that was on America's Got Talent a couple of years ago.) - My grandmother yodeled with the USO.
6. I love working on family history - I get excited every time I find a new person, picture, and/or story. I also work very hard to preserve my own family's history. I am an independent consultant for Heritage Makers & love to help people to preserve their stories in beautiful & fun ways!
7. I love listening to music but it either has to inspire me or make me want to dance.
8. I always wanted to be an aeronautical engineer....and/or an astronaut. Though I always wanted to work in the scientific community, after my kids are grown I hope to focus my time on working with runaways and the homeless.
9. I LOVE math and aced my college Calculus class. - I was a nerd in highschool.
10. I HATE to clean. Doesn't mean I don't do it, but I hate it....every second of it. It FEELS like the only thing I do everyday, though I often spend my already busy day thinking about it and putting it off only to rush and try to get it all done in a very stressful hour before everyone gets home. - However, I love doing laundry.
11. I am often asked to be or find myself in leadership positions, something I am quite comfortable with, though I'm okay with NOT being in charge.
12. I LOVE public speaking and teaching large groups of people.
13. I always see the other side of things. It has helped me forgive people but has also let people take advantage of me. I hate confrontations & hurting peoples feelings. I prefer to be a Peacemaker. However, I am working on making sure I take a stand when I need to. I often let things slide and hope they'll iron themselves out.
14. I am the same height today that I was in 7th grade. (I was considered tall!)
15. I love photography. I love looking at the beauty all around me and trying to capture that through a lens.
16. I have been on TV 6 or 7 times (including an interview on CNN) and in the newspaper at least 4.
17. I envy my siblings dancing and music abilities. They tend to draw a crowd where ever they perform. I love to sing and dance and though I can carry a tune and keep a beat I'm not as talented in these areas as I'd like to be. Doesn't keep me from singing and dancing all around the house!
18. I have a knack for finding 4 leaf clovers. I got this gift from my dad.
19. I can write a poem pretty quick about anything. It's a talent I got from my mom, the PoemGnome.
20. I love doing ANYTHING crafty and would crochet, draw, paint, sew, stamp, scrapbook, etc. all day long. I don't have the time, resources, space, or money to do so, so I don't. I did, however, until recently, have a closet filled with supplies to do every craft imaginable. I recently went to digital storybooking and sold most of my supplies to fund the new hobby. I am well known in some places as the Queen of Cardboard as I can make most anything out of cardboard and have done some pretty cool set designs.
21. For all of my artsy skills I can't decorate AT ALL. My house still looks like a bachelor pad. I have no sense of color or placement and have countless photos & frames I'd love hung but have no idea where to place. They stay stacked on shelves waiting for some creative friend to save me...hint, hint.
22. I am a picky eater & would die if there was not bread, milk, & peanut butter in my house. My favorite meal of all time will always be Pepperoni Pizza. It's what I ate at my wedding reception!
23. I love to bake but can't cook worth a lick. (Unless there's a specific recipe with a picture.)
24. I love camping & rappelling. I have been rappelling since I was about 7 years old and can even go Aussie (walking down face first).
25. I grew up a tomboy and spent my days in the woods making forts and planning ambushes. I didn't start growing out of it until my late teens and therefor struggled in the fashion department. I still, to this day, don't know what to do with my hair, or what clothes go with what. I also do my makeup the one way I learned to in highschool. My daughters are doomed!

Wow! I learned a lot about you. In the 4 years I've known you, I have yet to hear you yodel. I hope that changes at somepoint! : )
What a fun post! Since I haven't talked to you in years and years, it's nice to have an update on the fun things about you.
I love the random facts. I was excited to learn new things about you. YOU are such a talented person. I love my Christy!
Ok, I'm coming up with all laundry (will you iron too?) and I will clean your house!! Deal?? Love ya Linda (and yes I'm serious!)
RE: #25
you know, i don't think you've grown out of planning ambushes, and i've got snowflakes (still) to prove it.
