One Curl!!!!

So, as many of you have noticed, my Ella has bone straight hair.  You may have read of my disappointment when I took a curling iron to it and got....NOTHING!!  It wouldn't curl at all!!  Now, Ryan's sister has the same hair and told me that when she was little her mom would role her hair in socks overnight and that she would have curls that lasted for days.  I got excited!  I shared the story with my friend, Lisa.  That week Lisa found Pillow Curlers in an Avon Catalog and brought them to church for Ella.  So we tried it.....

	Ella actually sat and let me put them in!!  She ran around all night saying, "Pillow, pillow!".  It was so cute!!  When I put her to bed she laid right down and didn't complain a bit!  She even said, "1, 2 pillow!".  I was so excited!!!
	So I grabbed my camera and ran up to Ella's room this morning to find this.....One Curler!!  The rest of her hair was straight as could be!
	So, holding my breath, I took out the one curler and THERE WAS A CURL!!!
	So here's Ella's cute curls on the side of her head.  She'll look funny all day with her one puff of curls but I'm okay with that....at least they're there!!

11-16-2008 & 11-23-2008 Weeks in Review

The last two weeks have been quite pleasant around here and slightly less crazy than usual. Week before last I got a wonderful day of rest. My mom came over on Tuesday and gave me an entire day (until Ryan got home) to myself!! I used it to catch up on errands, have lunch with Ryan, and go scout out some great places for photo shoots. I woke up that morning with a gallbladder attack but it ended up just being a mild one so the day was not ruined. My FIL loaned me a lens for my camera so this was a big picture taking week. (That, compiled with this being for 2 weeks makes this a lengthy blog!) Thursday and Friday, Ryan had off of work. It was so nice having him around! We got to run some errands together and had lunch out with the girls.

Saturday was beautiful so we headed out to play in the leaves!!

Sunday, after church, some friends from my photo class came over and we headed out, with Dade, to a very cool location I found. We stayed until the sun was going down and then stopped at an old church and took a few more. It was so much fun!!

Wednesday was so wonderful! My friend, Tanya, came over and watched the girls for me so I could spend the day at the Temple. It was so wonderful to go and enjoy the quiet peace of the Spirit and leave the world behind, if only for a few hours! Thursday was our Anniversary!! No sitter so we simply put the kids down as early as possible and had a nice evening to ourselves. Ryan gave me a GPS! I'm so excited. Geocaching, here we come! I also got him to take a pic of me. Of course, there's a smudge on my lens that gave me a nice mark above my eye and I don't think I realized how bad my crows feet had gotten, but it will do!! Saturday I spent the morning trying to make up for all the service given to me during yard sale week, by going over and helping a Sister from church pull off a last minute yard sale of her own. We had a great time and go so much done!! It felt so good to give something back to someone after getting so much service from others in the last few weeks. Saturday we headed over to visit with Ryan's brother and his family. They just got a new house in Wake Forest and it was fun to go over and see it. I'm so glad they finally have a place of their own!!

So now it's Sunday and church is over, so what am I headed out to do???......

Go see my SISTER TAMMY!!! She's finally in town with her 2 kids and I can't wait to see her!!!....I know, you're jealous. If you're not, it's only because you haven't met her yet...then you would be!!
