First of all I'd like to give a SHOUT OUT to Mrs. Nash for coming through on her challenge to get a nice picture of herself (though NOT taken by her husband) up on her blog...check out the (other) other Nashes on the left!! Way to go! Also, Mrs. HS for getting her beautiful daughter to take a picture, as well!
Also, I've been tagged a LOT this week so I'm gonna spread them out so as not to overload everyone (myself). This last one made me look like I've got OCD!...I'm not obsessive, just passionate! (I like that word much better!)
Okay, so on with the week! Monday the new Kohl's opened up near my house!! I am officially no longer living out in the country, the city has come to me! I've had returns that I've put off taking back because the nearest Kohl's to me is over 30 minutes away so at 8am I was through the doors and was their first return! I then turned around and found the frames for the kids' silhouettes from Disneyland that I've been looking for all summer! YEAH!
Thursday night, Dade had a basketball game. He's currently playing with the other young men in our congregation that are his age (the Deacons) and they play against other congregations in the area. He was so excited because THEY WON!! Go, Deacons! Friday we headed back over to my SIL's for a photo shoot! My FIL has enough photo equipment to run his own studio but let's us all play with it instead. I'm NO expert and had never even seen the kind of lights he had. We set up a white backdrop and 3 lights that were hooked to my camera that would go off just like the flash. They were INTENSE and it was hard for me to get the settings right on my camera to not have them too over or underexposed. I'll be spending some time in Photoshop fixing these later.

Saturday Ryan decided he wanted to take the boat out for one last spin at the lake before it got too cold. It was such a beautiful day!! We had some family come with it and it was a great day!
We had such a great day at the lake! The big kids (and little - Ella went!) had a great time getting pulled around on the tube behind the boat and the little kids loved playing in the sand. The following picture makes me laugh only because I was there for the audio.
Ella worked really hard to dig this big hole and built a little wall. Suddenly a jet ski went by and made these waves come in. They were hitting her wall and she started yelling at them, "NO! NO! MINE!!! MINE! NO! MINE! NO!" This went on for several minutes while Ryan's sister and I laughed and laughed. It was a great day!
Sunday we spent a glorious day listening to General Conference. Twice a year the leaders of our church speak over 2 days and 4 sessions to the entire world on topics they have felt inspired to teach. It's so wonderful to sit and listen as a Prophet of God speaks to me right in my home. I feel so blessed and edified!! What a great week!

The pictures turned out great!!!
I LOVE all the pictures! The ones of you and the kids are beautiful. I like the one with Dad (grandad) and Xander. That's such a fun idea. I kinda wish we'd had time to take pictures of me while I was there. You take such beautiful pics. Love you!
In dear, sweet Mr. Nash's defense, I asked him to take pictures of me while he was in the thick of teaching David how to play Lego Star Wars on the XBox. Bad timing on my part. So I thought I'd play with the PhotoBooth feature on my computer for the first time. David actually wandered over and took some pictures of me, and Nathan did come over and ask if I still needed him to take one, but by then I had a gazillion already and sweetly absolved him of any obligation.
Your photos are looking great, and I'm glad this week was so much better for you than some in the past!!
You got some great pictures of the kids! I love them. Of course, I'm no expert but they really look great to me. And you got such great poses. Your next challenge is to get a decent picture of ME! Now that takes a pro.
And I second the hand sanitizer thing. I have seriously noticed a huge drop in how often I get sick since I started using it all the time.
By the way, whose cute bum is that on your blog?
I'm being lazy, so I'm not going to get specific, but I LOVE the photos!
And....I have studio equipment. I have yet to really master it. I still find natural light easier to work with. I'm a little bit chicken and really need to take out all my stuff and figure out how to make it work best for me once and for all....it's kind of a huge step, I think, and I liken it to going from Auto mode to Manual! (Hey, feel free to email me with any questions. I'm no expert but I've become best friends with my camera manual and I'll be happy to try and answer any questions you have? camerae at gmail dotcom)
