Alas, Luck - why have you forsaken me?

So, I have had to re-evaluate this whole giving my clovers away thing. The string of bad luck has not ended and so I am beginning to think that in fact it was the "Pressing" of my luck that was bad. Aren't we always told not to? and that truly this string of bad luck stretches farther into the past then I had first realized. So, I am now going to give the clovers away for free and simply place fresh new ones in a small vase for viewing rather than Pressing them. WHY you ask am I rethinking all of this? Because my children have decided that the gates that have held them safely back for all of this time are no longer a challenge to them and that my duct tape solution is simply a farce! (Duct taping the gate, not the kids - though that would probably work better). And of course I want to go and buy a gate but Ryan insists that we get one online because it's cheaper but I say NOOOO, we need one today (this was yesterday) and I'll go get one from the store. So despite his misgivings I go and buy one and it's a beautiful gate and it has a great rating and it matches our living room and meets all of the requirements that both of us were looking for and is broken straight out of the box and it's Saturday night and it was the last one on the shelf and I'm now going to have to wait until Monday to take it back with 4 kids in tow and Ryan can say I Told You So and Ella just figured out how to knock down the Other gate that she hadn't figured out yesterday and so now both of my little girls and my sanity are running amuck in my home and I just pulled Ella out of the bathroom sink where she was trying to eat the conditioner spray. Sigh.....
