Wednesday Corben & Sylvie headed over to a friends house.  She caught these fun pictures of them eating limes.  Corben also had a Brave Moment.  He had a run in with a dog (he’s afraid of dogs) but despite the scariness of the moment he held it together and stayed cool.  I’m super proud of him!

Thursday was Dade & Corben day. I want the kids to each get some time with Dade before he goes and since Corben leaves tomorrow it was time for them to hang out together.  I drove them to Frankies (an arcade/go cart/golf kind of place) and dropped them off for several hours. They had a great time and Sylvie and I were able to get some shopping done for Dades’ school stuff.

Soon after we got home the boys both headed out to a LAN party. That’s where you take your computer and hook it too all your friends computers and game and game and game….

Friday started the Tax Free weekend and the beginning of madness in our lives.  We headed out early to JCPenney to get suits for the boys and other clothing.  That took most of the day. We then rushed back to pick up Ella and Dade started packing for his weekend with his stepmom.  The rest of us ran back out to get Ella her FREE haircut at JCPenney (Check out her butchered bangs in the pictures below…you get what you pay for).  We went straight from there to my mom’s to have time with my Grandma and drop Corben off for his 2 week trip with my mom and Gramma Great to Colorado and Utah!

Saturday Dade headed out for a  weekend with Natalie (stepmom) and a trip to the beach.  Corben headed out to Colorado and the girls and I dropped Ryan off at the airport for a 2 week trip to JAPAN!!

Beautiful morning at the airport observation deck. Waiting with the girls to watch Corben's plane headed to Colorado and Ryan's plane headed for Japan!

In the mean time, Ryan was on a plane…(but his trip is going to be a blog of it’s own…later)

Corben, Mom & Grandma Great made it safely to Colorado! Here they are waiting to get picked up from the airport! (I can blog some of their trip because mom took pictures and sent home a daily journal! Thanks, Mom! – It will be a separate blog post though.)

IMG_9788Sunday, for the first time in a while, I felt the strong prompting to bear my testimony in church. I hate that is was when none of my guys were home but I realized later that my Sunday morning had been very peaceful and quiet and I think that led to the Spirit being so strong. Guess I need to talk to the guys about how crazy they make me on Sundays lol. (My friend Leah is always ready with her phone camera…)

That evening Dade got home just in time for us to have his new roommate and his family over for supper breakfast!!  (Funny-ish story…I invited this fabulous family over for supper knowing that Ryan makes the most fabulous food! As I clicked the send button it occurred to me that he would be in JAPAN!! PANIC.  My sweet SIL even offered to make a meal and bring it over and I almost took her up on it.  I then remembered that I can make an awesome breakfast and luckily they were up for it.)  We had fabulous Alton Brown french toast!! YUMMY.

Dade’s roommate is LDS and we are so excited for the boys to have each other as friends.  Their family is so awesome and we have a ton in common.  I just love Dallin’s mom. I’m so grateful to have her as an additional strength through this whole process.

After everyone left Dade helped me catch up on the times so we could stay in contact while he’s at school…here was my FB post:

I'm so behind the times...I'm Skyping for the first time...with Dade...who's in the same room. At least I know it works before school starts! He is lip syncing to Can't Hug Every Cat -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP4NMoJcFd4

And with that…I’ll leave  you with Ryan…who is still flying a full day later…

7-29-2012 Week in Review…

MOnday – This is how I found Ella in the morning. She was hanging off the end of her bed…

Finally got a few pics of the baby boy.  Good thing since he’s officially a MONTH OLD!!

We also had a friend over for Sylvie to play with and Ryan started 2 weeks of 1st shift. You know, I hated when he was assigned to 2nd shift but we adjusted…I now hate 1st shift. lol (No wait, it’s not funny, I really do hate it.)

Dade has an LDS roommate for school!! What a HUGE answer to prayers. So grateful to my Father in Heaven for each and every blessing. :)  -- Guess we got a rainbow to celebrate. (I could actually see this entire rainbow but I don’t have a wide enough angle lens to ever capture it…ugh.)

Tuesday was PIONEER DAY!  It was also Collin’s 1 month check up.  He’s over 12 lbs.  He’s also been having some issues with sleep apnea and the doctors decided it warranted a trip to the hospital for an overnight stay.

2012-07-24_19-27-52_3382012-07-24_19-28-11_856

Of course, nothing happened while we were in the hospital other than them finding out that he has an innocent heart murmur.  Though I felt no reassurance the doctors say they are reassured and that he seems very healthy.  Guess it’s time to buy a breathing monitor!!

The rest of this blog is rather pictureless and description-less but I’m running on NO sleep…

Wednesday Dade had a temple trip.

Thursday we went to meet Ella’s 1st grade teacher.  She seems super nice and Ella is very excited.  I’m excited because Ella’s teacher keeps a blog! Yippee!

“Getting ready to go meet Ella's teacher. Man, that was a short summer!”

Friday Dade had to work and then it was all prep for his Sending Dade Away (in style) Dorm Warming Party!  Dade invited a TON of people and just as I’d worried the weather was bad.  Luckily not everyone got the invite and we only had about 40 people pressed tightly into our house during the horrible storm.

It was a wonderful evening, though. I am so very grateful to all the families and friends we have that support Dade and our family. I felt so loved and supported.  Despite all the magic of the evening, we did have the tragic moment when one young lady broke her leg on our new trampoline…seriously…she’s doing alright though and we bought her flowers…)

Saturday  Someone’s going to miss his big brother a whole lot!  (Dade says this picture makes him look asleep with a chubby hand. In fact he was looking down at his brother and his hand in blurred from patting his back.

Sunday we went to two different wards for church. We started at ours and then headed out to visit the ward Dade will attend out there on occasion. They are simply wonderful and really support the kids at Dade’s school.  Makes me feel just a tiny bit better…

There's a flea in my house??????!!!!!! How is that even possible?
