6-24-2012 Week in Review…

Monday started out the very best it could! My fabulous SIL, Cassie, treated me to a massage as my baby gift!!  She and I spent some relaxing time at the spa and then went out for lunch.  I am so blessed to have had some amazing women marry my brothers. I love you, Cassie!!  Monday night Ryan and I went shopping for a few more baby things and things for Ella.  I cracked up laughing when I saw this Cabbage Patch. (Sorry to all my friends who have uncontrollable curls but…I still think it’s funny.)  We stopped at the garden section first and Ryan grabbed one of the garden cards (they’re flat and two leveled).  He had me hop on and then pushed me around the store on it. Everyone thought it was quite funny but I was happy as could be and didn’t have to walk!!

Tuesday, after feeling decently well between the massage and a morning chiropractor appt. I decided to brave a day out with the kids and our Schnegel family!  We headed to the local children’s museum and to a showing at the IMAX!!

Literally, just as we were walking up to the museum Dade got a horrific headache.  He went down hill from there and was feeling pretty horrible the whole time. So he hung out with him mom and held out long enough for everyone to have a ton of fun. Thanks, Dade!

Ella was a dedicated cashier at this pizza place for over an hour!

Wednesday I headed to the OB with hope but no real expectations.  I’ve been having TONS of contractions but as usual, they had done nothing to bring me any closer to baby time.  Induction is scheduled for July 2nd!! Ugh.  Everything looks good though.

Thursday is MY DUE DATE…come and gone just like all the rest. LOL  Dade was awesome and went to Ella’s school today to have lunch with her.  Everyone thought he was the nicest teenager they’d ever met!

Friday started early…about 12:30 am.  I started tracking contractions officially around 2:30am.  Did I mention it’s ELLA’S BIRTHDAY!! YEAH (Please don’t let me have a baby today!)  We got Ella up a bit early so she could open some presents before school.

I was supposed to bring cupcakes to Ella’s class for her special day but as the contractions were getting much stronger as of lunch time, Ryan & Sylvie went and picked some up at the store and took them to share with her friends during snack time.  Ryan called into work since I was pretty sure the baby was coming soon.  I decided to hold out as long as I could at home so I could see Ella after school and so there would be no rush to have him born on her birthday. I’d like them to have their own special day.  When Ella got home I called my brother to see if he could drive her and her siblings to her birthday party.  Anticipating that things may go wrong on her special day my AMAZING SIL, Jamie, planned and hosted a Buzz Lightyear birthday party for Ella and her cousins.  As the kids headed out the door for a night full of fun and planned sleepovers with family, Ryan and I got packed for the hospital!!  Here’s the pics from Ella’s party.  The rest of the weekend will get it’s own post!
