Talking to a Three Year Old….

Driving down the road -

Ella:  Fiaman scare me!

Mommy:  What Ella?

Ella:  Fiaman scare me!

Mommy:  No!  Firemen aren’t scary, they’re brave!

Ella:  Fiaman scare me!

Mommy:  Firemen help us if there’s a fire.  They save you! They keep you safe!

Ella:  Fiaman save me from fia?

Mommy:  Yes, if there was a fire a fireman would come and get you.  You shouldn’t be scared of him.

Ella:  Fiaman save me!

Mommy:  Yes! You don’t have to be scared.  Firemen are brave and will keep you safe!

Ella:  Fiaman keep me safe!……Fiaman habit a wot of fiawebs!

Mommy:  What?

Ella:  Fiaman habit a wot of fiawebs!

Mommy:  Firemen have a lot of spiderwebs??  ARE YOU SAYING SPIDERMAN??!!

Ella:  Fiaman keep me safe from da fia wif a wotta fiawebs!! YEAH!

Mommy:  Oh brother….

2 Days later at the grocery store, I set Ella into the cart.  She quickly notices there are Spiderman stickers all over her side of the cart.

Ella:  Fiaman scare me!  Fiaman keep me safe from da fia wif a wotta fiawebs!!

How long until we get this one straightened out?!

That is so cute!! Do you have her signed up for Speech through Project Enlightenment yet? It's a free service up to 5 years old offered by the county. I've had Evan in it for a year and he's making great progress. They offer other services as well but they are so great to work with. Let me know if you have any questions!!
