We had a wonderful w eek this week! It started and ended GREAT! Monday for Family Home Evening we got together with Ryan's brother and his amazing family and played outside all day.
Wednesday we had a little bird visit us on our porch and Friday RJ came to visit and he and Ella had fun steering the go-cart around the yard while Dade pushed.
Friday night we headed to bed in the rain waiting for Hurricane Hanna. Luckily she was nice enough to just come and take out one old pine tree in the front yard. Even luckier, it fell AWAY from the house. YEAH! Saturday was an amazing day.
Hanna cleared out early and left a beautiful sunny day behind her. Corben's baptism was at 2pm and it was a packed house! There were 3 other children getting baptized including the bishop's son but we had the most family there. I'm so glad that so many of you all were able to come and share this great moment with Corben! Everything went great except that the water heater was a little off and the water was a bit colder than Corben would have liked. He was quite the trooper though and all went well. I am so proud of that kid!! All the family met back at our house afterwards for some snacks and good company. When everyone had to leave, Ryan and I decided to head over to a local church event to spend some more time with family and get some barbeque and pie! There were games for the kids and lots to eat. All in all, a fantastic day!Sunday we got up early to head to church. Corben was asked to speak in Primary (the children's classes) about his baptism or how the scriptures teach us about prayer. He couldn't decided which topic to cover and decided to go to the scriptures for his answer. (He got his own set for his birthday and has really enjoyed reading them.) He asked me where to go to find his answer and I told him to pray about it and then just open them up. He did and decided he should go to the New Testament. He flipped open his book and thought that which ever topic was there would be the one he would speak on. He opened right to Matthew and Christ's baptism by John the Baptism. He had his answer! When it was time for him to speak he read the account of Christ's baptism and then told the children his feelings on baptism, as well. He got a little silly but did a good job. Once again, proud mama!
So now we're home and Ryan just sent Corben out to the garden to grab some carrots. Here's what he found....I call this one "Carrot Love". Have a great week!

You are so good at documenting your whole week. Your little family is so cute. Congrats to Corben on his Baptism. He looks too little to be baptized!
I will have to find a picture of that braid I was talking about and we can try it out. I love that I think I am a hair stylist or something:)
Let's get together soon--are you going to SITK on Thursday? I'm pretty sure I'll go. Okay done with my novel now, talk to you soon!
I love the Carrots, they look so cool. I am so proud of Corben for being baptized and even more for following the spirit to find his talk. What a great moment. THanks for letting us share the majority of the week with you!! We had fun, your a fantastic sister and have a great family.
