It’s APRIL!! Woohoo! And we’re celebrating 30 minutes outside for the next 30 days! The hope/plan is always that we’ll have some really fun adventures in the rain and sun but truth is we often just have those really big adventures in our own yard. I’m okay with that. I’m hoping to document our “adventures” in the great outdoors this fabulous April with my camera and my blog. I can’t even begin to tell you how much joy this sunshine brings!
Day 1 – April Fool’s Day
Well, day one and things didn’t go as planned…
Our first plan was to sing to my sweet niece for her birthday and to do little acts of service around town with a note saying, “It’s No Joke! God Loves You!”. Due to a certain deadline for clean rooms that was looming that fun had to be forgone and instead we stuck to the main event. Dinner and a b-day party with/for some of our favorite Elders! Best part?? Having Jessie and the kids over! (Especially since the event was all her idea and she made supper and she’s awesome!) We LOVE having the Elders over (we see them at least once a week) because not only are they fun but the Spirit they bring with them fills our home and helps our family all through the week!
Then the fun began…the Elders helped the kids fill some balloons so the kids could have a water balloon fight!
They suspected nothing…
Then…someone caught on…
And Corben was left all alone…but at least he still had his balloon…
…I guess you can’t have it all…
We’re going to miss our 3 missionaries…
I know…you’re wondering if we actually did any pranks today… Let’s just say that picture #2 below was the first thing heard when Ryan sat down after a long day at work tonight!!! (Followed by lots of little girl giggles.)
The End. See you outside tomorrow!
