  To: Tamara, From: Hurricane Irene, RE: Listen Hurricane. First and foremost... I'm a male hurricane, it's pronounced "eye'ren'ey" which my parents felt was a fun play on words. Second...as for your "BIG plans"...pardon me while I laugh (and destroy the bahamas)...but uh...they are a no go...unless those plans are to hang out in that creepy basement of yours while I go all Ty Pennington on your house. Oh, and thanks for the reminder about the tree...my kin have been after it for years...but hey, just think of all that great firewood for those freezing North Carolina winters your family lied to you about. And no doubts getting pushed around by all those waves is enough to cause a little Tropical Depression in anyone, but how 'bout some anger management classes? Cause a category FOUR? Really? Bored…

So…I’m bored with my blog.  I haven’t had much time to get my camera out lately and actually have forgotten to bring it to things like…Corben’s birthday…and such.  So, until the magic moment when I pull it all back together and am feeling blog happy again, here’s a silly change to at least make it more interesting to look at.  I love clouds…

Dear Jessica,

Happy Birthday!  I’m writing you this letter to let you know all the things I love about you!  I hope you don’t mind.  I have to tell you that I thank God for you.  You are such an amazing blessing in my life and in the lives of all us who have the joy of knowing and loving you.  So, in no particular order, is a long list of many of the reasons you are one of my most favoritist people is all the world!

8-14-2011 Week in Review

Okay, this is going to be a LONG {very long} post!!  This week my brother and his family flew in from Utah so we could have FAMILY CAMP!!  Let me start off by saying…it was HOT…and HUMID.  SOME of us are used to it…SOME of us were NOT!  But…we survived and had a ton of fun!!

Here’s Monday…it was over 100 degrees out!  We spent most of the day settling in and getting in front of a FAN!  Ella had to go to school most of the day…sigh…but she had a blast once she got to camp!  {Photos by myself, my sister Tam, and my brother, Jason!}

Tuesday started out a little cooler!  Yummy breakfast…

…hangin’ at the pier and riding in the boat!!

Uncle Ryan had them all in stitches pretending to fall down every time one of them gave him a walking stick they found!

We went on a nature hunt!

Wednesday

Time to Catch Your Breakfast!!

Then…just as I followed the cute girls up the hill…Corben caught the first fish!!  Then Dom caught one, too!

AND…just because I couldn’t help it…

Then there were prayer rocks!

…and an early birthday party!

Talent Show time!

Thursday was pack up and clean up day!  Corben got in one more fishing trip with my brother before we left and he caught…TEN FISH!!  I know, right?  He was SO excited!  What an amazing week!!

We actually got Ella home in time to go late to school.  I even got almost everything put away from our trip! Go me! (the boys where a huge help!)

Friday was recover day and time for me to make good on my deal with Corben and his great friend!  They were good all summer at church (and when they weren’t they apologized) so they earned an all expenses paid trip to a local arcade to play laser tag, go carts, golf, and tons of video games!  We had a GREAT time in our 4 hours there! (I did a TON of reading while they played– lol)

Saturday I went to take pictures for a friend and spent the rest of the weekend trying to catch up from all I missed getting done this week!
